"Good location; close to 2nd Bridge and Etiler area"
good location; friendly and competent staff; clean and nice rooms; more a business hotel rather than families. Restaurant and room service usually have good selection from Mediterranean cuisine. Overall; value for your money.
"very good business hotel in Europe side"
Although it is a business hotel but the looks more of leisure hotel. They have upgrade me to a junior suit with a great view of 2nd bridge on Bosporus. From the balcony i can see the first and third bridge as well. Le Méridien Etiler is 10- 15 minutes drive to Itenia Park one of the best shopping malls in Istanbul and is close to many restaurants on the Bosporus. The view from my rooms is stunning. The break fast exultant with nice wooden tables and again a leisure place. I have a business meetings on Asia side but this hotel is only 10-15 minute drive and is convenient to airport. Overall i have great stay in Le meridian Etiler.
"A hotel close to the 2nd Bosphorous Bridge "
I stayed here a year ago and my experience was terrible. They served completely burnt waffles for breakfast without any hesitation, and check out was a hassle, taking so much time and at the end, they didn't give me the receipt because the printer was broken. They said they will email me but never did. I thought this is a typical first rate infrastructure with third rate staff hotel. But when I came back a year later, they remembered my comments and gave me an upgrade. I thought this was quite professional.
"Great hotel with a nice gym!"
The hotel is nice and clean - there's a nice bar at the top of the hotel allowing a perfect view across the city. There's also a nice lounge bar. The rooms are nice and clean and fairly spacious. It was great to see that they appear to come with an iron and an ironing board. The bed is super comfy and although quite pricy, the mini bar offers a nice selection. There's a really nice gym at the hotel which gives guests the chance of a thorough workout. However, dumbbells only go up to 26kg and there're no "heavy" barbells - only a Smith machine. Foodwise the breakfast buffet has a great selection and the a la carte menu in the evening is also really nice - although the range of selections isn't super broad. In some cases, it took quite a long time before main courses for dinner were served - and i think in one case one of the dishes was actually forgotten. Considering that the hotel was very far from fully booked, it couldn't be because the kitchen was too busy. Anyway, taste-wise the food tasted great! Would I return to this hotel next time I'm in Istanbul' Maybe... I've stayed at other hotel in the city where the gym was a bit better, but it's surely likely that I'll return to Le Meridien!
"Fine choice for solo travellers"
I went there for 3 nights and it was pretty nice in terms of quietness, helpful staff and fine cleanliness. Despite its unique architecture, it needs renovation in some areas. It would be a very good choice for those who are travelling solo or for business. Once you arrive there you will find that you are far away from almost everything, except from Etiler 5-star restaurants and Rumeli Hisarı Castle. If you want your room view on the Bosphorus Bridge you should pay more.
