Fantastic views of the sea and gardens, great service (although they did seem to just come into the room without knocking - which was a bit comical) The bed was big and comfy - but all that really matters was a big massive window with a spectacular view. Balcony was great, but you do get a fair bit of noise from the traffic. The cocktails in the rooftop bar are costly and not too good, but you've got the rest of Nice on your doorstep, so who cares. Enjoyed a quick dip in the pool on the roof as well, but I don't think you'd spend too much time in there as it's not too big and everybody is sitting there eating their lunch whilst you're splashing about.
"Excellent location but dated"
This hotel is pretty central and an easy walk to almost everywhere. Checked in and was upgraded to a room with a nice balcony on a high floor with a partial sea view. Hotel is a little dated and furniture in the room was stained and chipped. No coffee maker which was very disappointing. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom amenities were good too. Staff was very helpful. Didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the food. If you can look past the age of the rooms and furniture, the location makes this hotel a worthwhile place.
"Nice enough but needs to up its game!"
Stayed for 2 nights on business and had a great corner room on a Lower floor. Great ocean view and so bright. Anyway colleagues had rooms on 9th floor on the inner courtyard with no external view and due to the season (off peak) no air conditioning. The Rooms very hot I was told and they couldnt open window passed 2 inches, it was very uncomfortable I am told. Over all a quality place but underneath it lives McDonald's and a very untidy casino. For high class Nice the hotel was a little worn out and needs a full update. The fabulously rated top floor restaurant was closed and probably a good thing based on prices listed. Overall Nice is grubby and not what I expected.
"Great location and very good experience"
It's a very good hotel, simply. Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, with comfy bed. Breakfasts were ok - quite good selection of various dishes with a beautiful sea view from the hotel restaurant. What is the best advantage of this hotel is the location: close to the Old Town and many restaurants and bars. There is also a rooftop terrace with a seasonal swimming pool , which offers great view of the sea and the Promenade des'Anglais. Using it in Autumn is not very tempting due to low temperatures, but I'm sure it's a great place in summer. I also liked the color idea of corridors - each floor has a different main color. I stayed on the lilac floor :)
Don't stay here. The front door is right across from the wino-s and homeless. It's across from the beach and in a nice area but its at the end of the nice area. The entrance of the hotel is dirty. The check in staff was flat out RUDE!!!!!!!! The room was GROSS, the carpet had to be fresh in 1930. Old furniture. Hard bed. Old bathroom. Old, old, old. I would not recommend this hotel, go a few blocks down to the Casino Hotel....don't stay here.
