Very nice hotel. Huge swimming pool and clean, beautiful private beach. Variety of food with good quality in breakfast buffet. Excellent service. We're very happy with the stay and would recommend others to stay here.Comment of W. Wan , Hong Kong the 2016-10-03
"Beautiful Beach, Pricey, Terrible Food, No Beach/Pool Drink Service, No Elephant"
Pros: Beautiful Beach Cons: No active Beach Food/Drink Service, Food was average and even awful in certain restaurants, No Concierge Service, No Water Sport Equipment included (paddle board/ paddle boats), NO BABY ELEPHANT, confusing independent beachfront drink and sport services, Rooms powered with keys, Small Beds
We have used many top hotels worldwide but every year over the last 10 years we have found ourselves returning to the Méridien, Phuket! We are now a 70 year old couple who enjoy being entertained and taken care of. We have found this hotel unique, it is a large hotel with a small boutique appeal to it, a private beach and facilities, world class entertainment and food and service second to none! We look forward to visiting the Méridien again for our next winter break!! Bill and Jean Brown, Lake District, England.
This is a wonderful resort! The staff are very welcoming and we received flower bracelets upon arrival, along with cool amazing smelling towels and a delicious refreshing drink as we checked in! The pools are beautiful and the sand on the beach is so fine and soft! We had massages by the beach every day (they are off to the side)..more pricey than outside of the hotel but still worth every penny! There are plenty of activities to do around the hotel and we didn't even want to leave to go explore the crowded Patong beach area. We went scuba diving with the company attached to the hotel. Every night at dinner there were different themes and they even had FIREWORKS! The breakfast was amazing with so many choices and even came with dried fruit and nuts. WE will definitely return back here again.
"Clean and private beach"
Given this is phuket, to have your own private quiet beach is definitely the selling point of this hotel. It also comes with free water/beach activities (except Jet Ski). The water is free of debris and welcoming. If you are bored, lots of space in the swimming pools & deck chairs to relax as well. I was told this hotel has been around for a while but they do keep a good job in upkeeping as it is not obvious to me.
"Keeps drawing us back!"
Although this is not the newest, shiniest hotel in Phuket, it draws us back every year and this is down to the people and the location. This is our 12th visit here so they have to be doing something right. As we get into the car at the airport we relax and know that we will have a wonderful and relaxing holiday. If you are after peace and quiet away from the madness that is Patong this is the place. Some things are a bit dated like the Starlight Dancers who perform in the Pakarang Buffet every night, but that may be because we have been so many times and seen it all. The band are decent and have updated their reportoire this year. We have eaten in all the restaurants and have never had a bad meal. This year we ate in Ariake the Japanese restaurant for the first time, as we haven't been a fan of this type of food in the past. We're now converted! We were talked through the menu by Noi, who gave us suggestions of what we might like, and it was lovely. The rooms are spacious enough, if like us all you do is sleep in them! What else can I say, love this place and staff and bring on 2018!!
