Very nice hotel. Huge swimming pool and clean, beautiful private beach. Variety of food with good quality in breakfast buffet. Excellent service. We're very happy with the stay and would recommend others to stay here.Comment of W. Wan , Hong Kong the 2016-10-03
"Another great stay..."
We are repeating guest to LM Phuket. It remains to be for us the place to be. The warm welcome, well appointed and updated rooms, the "private" bay... a clean beach with fine sand and a pool bar team which is ever so funny and engaging. What else do you want on a holiday, when chilling out is the main aim. We will be back in 2018...thank you to the entire team, you are amazing.
"5 star hotel"
We chose this hotel due to its location and private beach. On Phuket the party island it was far enough from Paton beach. From arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble for he staff. They were friendly, helpful and efficient with everything done with a smile. The rooms were clean and ours had a sea view. Complimentary water was replenished each day and there was a minibar in the room. The hotel offered a choice of restaurants. The buffet was on offer each night. At 1600 baht it was expensive but the quality of the food was excellent and of course you could eat as much as you wanted. Entertainment during the meal made for an enjoyable evening. We also ate in the bar the menu offering an extensive range of food to suit all tastes. Certainly good quality but offered at European prices. If you want any laundry doing suggest you use the laundry just outside of the hotel. At 100baht per kilo it is cheaper than the hotel prices but if you are prepared to walk a little further it will be cheaper. Prices are high at this hotel but it has a lot to offer. By walking a short distance or taking a taxi you will pay less for food that is of equal quality but I would still choose this hotel due to its location, it's staff and ambience. Worth every penny if you are prepared to pay for a little luxury!
"What a disappointment!"
We really looked forward to staying here as the pictures look amazing and we thought it was going to be the highlight of our trip! To give credit there were a couple of positives. I will say that the beach is amazing. Very nice and private. My husband also was very impressed with the gym here. Also the staff try very hard and were very nice. This is where the great part ends. Room was very basic for a 5 star property. Nothing fancy at all. We had just stayed at Le Meridien in Bangkok in a standard room which was way nicer than this. Beautiful bathroom, box of chocolates as a welcome gift and French press coffee in the room. At Le Meridien Phuket they had instand coffee packages and powdered cream in the rooms. Very tacky. The location may seem really nice because it's private but you are completely stuck here unless you pay to take their shuttle into town. We have stayed at other remote hotels that offer a free shuttle into town. Why wouldn't this be free here' You can't really walk anywhere because the roads are so busy and there is no sidewalk so quite dangerous. They also don't enforce their own rule about not saving beach chairs. Their rules say they will remove towels that are on a lounge chair more than an hour unoccupied. They never did this the entire 5 days we were there. Some towels sat all day with nobody ever using the lounger. So frustrating when you can't find a chair. The worst part here is the insane prices they charge for foods and drinks. It's beyond ridiculous. We ate a bare minimum here because the prices were so crazy and the food we did order was not good. The first night we ordered a "small" pizza at the beach restaurant and the sign says they have the best pizza in town. The crust was completely dry with a bit of meat and some limp lettuce. There was one piece of tomato on the entire pizza. That was it. We only ate it because we were starving. Worst pizza ever. The food here should be out of this world but it isn't. We found way better food at the restaurant just outside the gates at a fraction of the price. Thank goodness for that restaurant. We ate there both for lunch and dinner most days as it was the only place we could afford. A glass of wine at the resort is 420 baht plus tax and service charge. That is $20 Canadian. For a glass of wine! In what world are these normal prices' I will never ever stay here again and would never recommend my family or friends to either. Starwood should be reviewing this hotel as it is doing a disservice to their name and brand.
"Heaven on Earth - what a place!"
One of the best hotels I have stayed at - and I have stayed at some excellent hotels, many several times more expensive than this. First of all, the location. It has it's own, private, beautiful sandy beach. Couldn't be better. Umbrellas, bean bags, water-sports, bars, restaurants - just perfect. The room: I was in a standard room, which I would say was good but not excellent. There were a few niggling faults like the curtain rail would stick and the control for the lights etc looked a little old. I am really nit-picking here and I am comparing to hotels like "The Cosmopolitan" which is a newer hotel. The room was still amazing! The staff: Thailand is known for good service, but Le Meridien takes this to the next level. I was staying at the Hilton Arcadia Phuket and thought the service was good there, but Le Meridien staff beat it hands-down. The facilities: 5 amazing restaurants, more expensive than average Phuket restaurants but still v reasonable. Pools are huge, free diving lessons, spa, gym.All top-notch
"Best Patong place to stay."
It is the kind of hotel people dream about when they overlook it from the road between Patong and Karon. Great private beach, huge swimming pools, 24/7 room service and descent size rooms with balcony. Location is also perfect, isolated in a creek but only 5 minutes drive to center Patong beach and 5 minutes to Karon. Best hotels come with the highest price, but it worth it !
