"Not up to the standard of other Meridiens"
Very basic (and quite run down) rooms - feels more like a 3* hotel, not especially helpful and friendly service, however good/central location (if you need to be in this part of town). Would not recommend - especially giving ourtrageous pricing (even for London standards)
"It was OK."
It was OK. One night for 2 of us, no breakfast, for £275 is expensive, and I don't think it was worth that. We arrived at about 2.15 to check in but were told the room wouldn't be ready until 3pm, so we left our contact number. No call received, so we returned at 3pm and the room was ready. The 'call back ' process didn't work for us. The room was clean enough. Everything seemed to work OK, though the room and bathroom looked tired. Great location though, but not worth £275.
"Great location but unprofessional staff"
I have stayed at this hotel a few times. The location is great but last time I completely lost it. The staff made me wait for my check in for hours (though I wasn't the one who had originally booked the room and was early from the airport) and they wouldn't even let me leave the bag there. Superbad service in that regard and when I go up to the restaurant I always get to wait to be served. Food is good. Not more. The sitting area at the resto is lovely though. Very light and great to sit for a coffee or lunch (if one has the time for the sloooow service i.e). Me and my friends did not have a great experience in this hotel and will not be frequent guests any longer. One can get so much better for this price in London.
"Great location-average hotel-Convenient to attractions & subway"
We have stayed here several times over the years and you are paying for a great location. Rooms are satisfactory and comfortable. Front desk is either very friendly and helpful or frigid-depending on whom you encounter. Requested early check-in but did not even get in the room until later afternoon (much later than arrival check-in time) so beware. Good maid service. Bell captain outstanding. You can walk to many different areas easily or grab the subway or cap. Excellent Italian restaurant across street. Easy to way to theater district also. Expensive hotel but great location.
"Value for money"
I stayed there quite a few times and I found it's very convenient to explore London. Located on Piccadilly street, the hotel offers you the best spot to pop in your room anytime you want after your shopping on bond street, or dining on Berkeley street, or clubbing in Soho! The guest room itself is ok, acceptable. The service is typical Le meridien. The SPG lounge is ok. The rate is affordable. All in all, it's all fine to stay there!
