"Expensive, but Great Location"
A very nice hotel is an absolutely perfect location within easy walking distance of the primary points of interest in San Francisco. The Good: Great location. Nice views from some rooms A free nightly bottle of water and a robe in the room. Nice, modern, spacious and clean room. Large screen TV. USB charger built into the nightstand. The Bad: VERY pricey, Too expensive for what it is. No in-room coffee. (Come on, this has been standard in rooms for decades!) Wifi is not free in rooms. One bottle of water and one robe was not useful to the 2 of us staying there. Extra charge for late departure. Poor water pressure in sink. Prices for extras such as laundry and the bar downstairs are very high. Parking (which we didn’t need) was $62.50 per 24 hours.
"Great Location away from Union Square"
I booked Le Meridien last month for 1 night and I had a pleasant stay. My boyfriend and I did the Horn Blower Cruise located near Pier 3 and it was the perfect location. The room was extremely clean, with a modern vibe to it. From our room, you can see the bridge which was an amazing view! If you are looking for a hotel that is away from Union Square area but it's too far then this hotel is perfect for you.
"Walking Distance to the Ferry Building, BART, Union Square, and Chinatown"
Alternating between the Kimpton boutique hotels and SPG brands, this one got a thumbs up. Stayed with two other families and we all approved. From check-in, to room accommodations, to drinks at Bar 333 and breakfast at Park Grill, they all passed muster. Valet parking or your choice of the self-park was outrageously expensive, $68/$39 nightly. For a week long stay, it put a dent in our wallet. Walked to Ferry Building and Pier 39, BART stations to head into Berkeley and a Warriors game against the Lakers, Union Square and Chinatown, centrally located with a 10-20 walk so we didn't need to take our cars anywhere.
"Central location, modern rooms"
Location is great, right in the financial district. SF is a pretty small city so you can get anywhere just by walking, taking the super convenient public transportation or calling for a cheap and short uber ride. The hotel is really nice, modern, clean with a very friendly staff. We had breakfast one day and it was pretty good, we also had drinks at the lobby bar ( which can get crowded during weekdays for haply hour) and it was nice. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!
"Loved our stay at this San Francisco Hotel!"
Our stay began with a complimentary upgrade to a room that had a beautiful view. What a treat! The front desk staff was amazing! The hotel is well appointed downtown and it was easy to get around. The room was stylish, roomy, and smartly laidout. Bed and linens were very comfortable. The concierge was extremely helpful and assisted us with restaurant reservations, bike and car rental. The staff made our trip exceptional. We look forward to returning.
