"First class experience at first class hotel"
We were visiting Vienna for the Christmas markets, having visited several times before in the summer. Le Meridien is ideally situated close to many attractions such as the Opera House, the Hoffburg palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral. It is also close to an underground station. The staff at the hotel are friendly and very helpful. The service in the bars and restaurant is excellent as is the food. Our room was spacious and comfortable and provided with a free minibar containing water, a variety of soft drinks and a beer which was refilled each day; a most convenient facility. Whilst ours was a short stay on this occasion we shall be visiting again and without doubt will be stopping at Le Meridien
"Starwood Hotel Members this is the place to go"
Grand, stunning at night, with a downstairs Champagne bar, pool, hot tub, sauna, full gym, this hotel is everything you could ask for. Top luxury, excellent service and the Member's rooms are just stunning. Incredibly comfortable beds, complementary snacks, mini bar, sparkling water, a beautiful pink bathtub and top notch technology in the room. I was shocked by how impeccably clean everything was. Truly a treat to stay here, would highly recommend for couples. Also really can't ask for a better location, 3 minute walk to the opera house and center of town.
Lovely hotel. Room huge and peaceful, despite being on ring. shower great with fab toiletries. Staff always greeted you when you came in and out. Breakfast choice good. I walked everywhere from here except airport. Really good choice for city break
"Can I have a drink please"
While visiting my hometown, I met my friend for a drink at the bar. I was sitting there for 10 minutes (checking emails) while the two bartenders completely ignored me. One was chatting with a friend who was sitting next to me, the other one was mixing drinks. When I looked up after I was done with my mails, I asked politely if I could please have a drink. I ordered a Prosecco and then my friend walked in and we ordered another one. After toasting, we realized that it was lukewarm. That's pretty steep given that they charge 7.50 Euro per glass, which in Vienna is on the higher end. Also, the outfits of the staff looked ridiculous, like green space suits. Anyhow, we complained and they gave us a drink for free, but not a good first impression.
"Great location, amazing brunch, but worst concierge and check-out experience"
I stayed for a week-end with friends and we booked two rooms under the same reservation. The check-in was good, and the rooms were very nice and clean, with an amazing bathroom. However, the concierge was quite useless and rude. It took time to have him finally make a suggestion, and was put in a situation where I actually had to say "I don't know Vienna, that's why I'm asking you". Concerning the checkout, there was an issue (not sure who is actually to blame), but 75% of the price of the two rooms was taken on one card without us knowing, and the only thing the receptionist was doing, was blaming someone else, and not doing anything to ease the situation. To finish on a positive note, the brunch was lovely with a large range of dishes and very atentive staff.
