"Fabulous - great to visit again"
Great location, central in Chamonix with parking. Nice restaurants nearby. Crisp modern hotel, clean and great staff who were incredibly helpful. Room was great with balcony over looking the river and fabulous views of the Alps.
"Nice hotel with central location"
Nice hotel, central but off main street and therefore rather quite. Service and staff friendly and helfull. Small but nice spa in basement. Can recommend the massasje after long days of skiing. Modern rooms, good beds.
"Very clean rooms and helpful staff"
I have stayed twice in Le Morgane and recommend this hotel overall the others I have stayed in Chamonix. The location is a block from the tram that takes you to Aiguille du Midi and is a short walk to all the restaurants you would want to frequent. We left luggage there while we climbed Mont Blanc. They stored if for three days free of charge. The breakfast is tops. The staff is tops as well. I shall stay there each time I travel to Chamonix.
"Friendly nice hotel "
Located close to the city center, modern designed and well equipped room. Nice spa, free good WiFi. Rich breakfast. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Also the room is big, there is not enough room to store the wardrobe. Ski room lockers are too small as well.
"Good service from friendly staff, comfortable & convenient as well as stylish."
We stayed for a long weekend skiing. The hotel is very close to the small river and the centre of the town so very convenient for going out to a restaurant The room we had was apparently an upgrade so not the standard one. It was stylish and with a super comfortable, large bed. I would suggest a couple of improvements to the management - the room really needs a couple of hooks by the door so that it's possible to hang up damp coats or outerwear from skiing. Also a shower cap should be included with the selection of toiletries (which are excellent by the way). The basement spa is really lovely, with a small pool, sauna and steam room, all towels included as are robes, slippers (in the room). Most welcome in the very cold weather. Dinner was excellent, recommend to book for the weekend when Le Bistrot restaurant gets busy. Breakfast was nice too, though a little pricey. The ski room was very well appointed with lockers for all belongings / hired equipment. We did not realise that there was a car available to hire to take you to ski areas - obviously no one told us but we see that now in a review. There is a downside to Chamonix skiing - it is a very spread out ski area. Staff at the hotel advised us where to catch the buses which are free - about a 5-10 minute walk away at the stop Chamonix Sud. The hotel staff also very kindly arranged for the handing back of our ski equipment as we left the resort - our hire shop owner seemed to have gone off for a very long lunch break. We used Ski-Set which is on the next block to the hotel. Only one service complaint and that is to do with Ski-lift passes. On our day of arrival we tried to buy these at the nearest telecabine office (closed) and then at the tourist office (machine out of order) so we asked for help at the hotel desk. However, watch out for a catch here if you do the same. We bought Chamonix area lift passes (having been told this could be upgraded to the Mont Blank (all area) pass if we needed). However, when we tried to do this we discovered that the hotel concierge had failed to tell us that this was not possible when you've bought a pass at a hotel. Consequently we had to spend around 50 extra euros after a lot of arguing and queueing at another ski lift / telecabine. Most frustrating - so be careful about this. Recommend that you check out carefully which areas have open runs and lifts as if the weather changes (as it did) you can get caught out going to a ski area you don't have a pass for. Probably wiser to buy the all area pass so that you don't have to worry or queue to do this as the queues were very, very long on Saturday morning.
