Le Richemond is ideally located in the heart of the city, a few minutes walk from the main train station and 15 minutes by car from the International Airport. Just over the bridge, on the rive gauche, guests can discover the old city and the Cathedral Saint-Pierre, the museums district and the luxury boutiques of the Rue du Rhône.
We stayed at this hotel for a week in April. This is a very nice hotel with wonderful staff which really makes this a special hotel. Although there are very little amenities, no swimming pool and only one restaurant. The spa is beautiful but limited. The room was very nice but we did ask for a lake view and paid more for a better room but they were not able to help which was the only disappointing aspect of our stay. We thought that more could have even done as we were staying a week. We would have liked a coffee and tea facility in the room. This was not available. Hotel is very expensive, but Geneva is a very expensive place to stay. The hotel went the extra mile and made me a surprise birthday cake. Thank you for that.
"Quality service in a first-rate hotel"
Everything was great about our top-floor room with a large balcony and view of the park and lake, except for a pillar jutting into the room (702) that created a slightly cramped feeling. Great service and amazing breakfast included.
Le Richemond is one of best Hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in! Its right in the city close to the train station, bus station, river and shops - although I will say the shops are very high end. We had a very nice welcome from Martin at reception who explained everything and we felt like we were in a home away from home. The concierge was very helpful so a big thank you and especially to Julian who helped us every day during our stay with plans and excursions... if you need anything at all they are always there to help! Even though breakfast is early Pierre is always a delight and could always make us laugh. So really thank you so much to all the staff!! In-room dining menu and bar menu are divine... in fact we ordered the same thing twice. Calamari and Pesto pasta.. the best I ever had! Would recommend 100%
"Great place to stay in Geneva"
I spent one night and almost two days at Le Richmond to start a family vacation in Europe. The staff was polite, professional and accommodating. In particular, the woman tending bar, Candace, was very informative, educational and professional, entertaining my wife and I while preparing drinks non-stop for a busy bar and restaurant. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable. My only complaints are regarding a musty smell in our beautiful bathroom that housekeeping was not able to remedy during our brief stay, and the noise from a music above us at night, and some kind of hammering in the morning.
"Great service, well located"
Bottom line I will definitely return to this hotel. I arrived particularly late one night into Geneva and they were very gracious to collect my bags on the curb and bring them up to my room while they checked me into my room. The lobby had some funky artwork (carbon fiber themed) available for purchase. The receptionist brought me to my room and explained how things worked and gave me some tips for navigating the city that evening (I wanted to go for a walk). I had a very peaceful sleep. Bed was comfy, hotel and the rooms were exceptionally quiet -- the walls and doors literally seems like they are padded. The bathroom was quite large (with bidet) and had a big shower and lots of hot water. I'll definitely go back -- found it to be quite central to the business area -- much more so that the President Wilson.
