"2nd Time a Charm"
Returned after visiting in 2016. Very solid property perfectly situated between Old Montreal & downtown. Rooms are spacious and clean. Friendly welcome from valet, quick checkin and "heavenly" sleep. Will definitely return ..hopefully it won't take another year.
"Go-to hotel in Montreal for business or pleasure..."
Just wrapped up a 3-day business trip at Le Westin, Montreal. I've stayed at this property for personal trips too. Good stuff: 1) Great location in Old Montreal! Business meetings are still accessible, of course, but the location is better for being a tourist, with proximity to neat Montreal destinations: Notre-Dame Basilica, Bord'Elle, the quays along the river, etc. 2) Comfortable beds! 3) Good food right at the hotel! 4) Covered taxi pick-up/drop-off for the less-than-perfect Montreal weather! 5) Friendly staff that all speak excellent English! Neutral stuff: 1) This recent trip's room was a touch small and a wee bit bland. 2) Views out of most rooms are just okay, not picture-worthy. 3) With multiple towers of rooms and elevator banks, the hotel can be a little tricky. Nothing bad to say about the place--very good spot! I will return...
"Location is great, hotel is good quality, staff needs training"
The location is great, both easy walking distance to old montreal and downtown. The hotel itself is nice decor and well kept. There seems to be an "I don't care" attitude though which really took away some pleasure from staying there. On pulling up, no one offered to help with the 2 suitcases I had, one night had to wait 25 min for the valet to get the car even though they mention 10 min max. Sad part is when I went down and was waiting no one even asked why I was waiting until I asked where my car was as they obviously were not busy. Checking out again with the bags, rather than help, he just said looks like you are ok with those. It is probably the first time in many years I didn't even tip the valet I was so frustrated. Fire alarm also went off at 3am and again I get it happens, but they made several announcements every 5 minutes to stay in our room, but never made any announcement that it was all ok, so my kids had a really hard time going back to sleep as they were waiting for that.
"Quality, quality, quality .. and a perfect location for easy access to Old Montreal"
My wife and I stayed in the property for 4 days during this recent Easter Holiday. We have so many good things to say about our stay. The location provides easy walking access to old Montreal. It is close to "downtown" but being set back just a few blocks makes it quieter and easier to use your car, or grab a taxi or take the Metro. The staff were consummate professionals, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food in The Gazette was our biggest surprise. A fairly unassuming dining room/bar - but exquisite food preparation and presentation !! We highly recommend this hotel for business, pleasure our for a family stay.
Nothing much wrong with this hotel and rooms Ok but very fully priced. Poor score due to poor service where requested issues not addressed and then when requested again found obnoxious response. If no issues with room then likely a reasonable location for central Montreal.
