The Westin properties usually do not fail, this is no exception. Location is great, staff is friendly, rooms are clean and large. Fitness center is solid. Restaurant is good for breakfast and pre dinner drinks. We stayed for NYE 2016 and had a wonderful time.
"Great Hotel & Great Location"
I spent 5 days at Le Westin (12/29-1/2) and it was fantastic. All of the staff from the Front Desk to Housekeeping were friendly and always helpful. It was nice that they were bilingual and spoke English as my French is still in it's beginner stage. The room was nice, King bed comfortable and equipped with a refrigerator which was a huge plus. Bathroom was spacious with modern finishes. Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to some of the best bistros and cafes, near the Metro station, and a block from the Underground City. Olive & Gourmando, for brunch is a must. There is an IGA supermarket about 10 minutes walk from hotel which is super convenient. Landmark sites are also close. The Basilica de Notre Dame which is a must see, is approximately 10 minutes walking distance. There are many restaurants sprinkled around the area and walkable from hotel. I had the hotel room service on two nights. The menu was ok but I found rather limiting regarding fish and seafood options. There is also a Food Court in the Underground City that offered many food options. I would recommend obtaining Canadian currency prior to arrival or using a bank ATM. Hotel was not equipped with a spa but I was guided to one nearby - Rainspa. It was hidden oasis. These staff members are true assets to the Le Westin team: Erika and Valerie, Front Desk, Ali, Waiter/Room Service and Azija, Housekeeping. I had a wonderful time and look forward to returning to Le Westin Montreal perhaps during the Spring or Summer.
"Good all round hotel"
Very nice hotel on the edge of old Montreal. Great service, rooms are semi-modern, gym is good. Rooms were probably updated several years ago - so are more modern that most hotels in downtown Montreal, but still are probably coming up to a time when they need a bit of TLC. Their suits are excellent - if you're SPG Platinum as for their rooms ending in "10" on each floor. My biggest issues with this hotel are: (1) room service is very inconsistent. I've had some terrible food there, and sometimes is OK. It's never amazing, but it is really expensive. So, go out for dinner, rather than room service. (2) It can get really pricey during peak times. The price per room can almost double during peak periods. I have no issue with peak pricing... but the Westin seems to increase far more than many other hotels in Montreal, which is frustrating.
"Awesome hotel with exceptional staff"
The Westin is one of my favourite hotels in Montreal. The hotel is modern and the staffs are exceptional (they always do the extra miles to make our trip awesome). This is a perfect location, close to old-Montreal and Griffintown where most of some of the best restaurant and bar are located. The room are confortable and always clean. They always try to accommodate our request (on this trip we were upgraded to a very nice room on the top floor).
"Good hotel for business meetings"
Stayed in this hotel during one of our business meetings. Service was good from check in to check out. We used a buffet lunch. The quality was good with good variation and healthy choises. The room was spacious and clean. There enough rooms in many seizes for bigger and smaller business meetings.
