I was disappointed with this hotel. I've read a lot of good reviews, but it was nothing like it. It is a big hotel, but very poorly managed. Everything inside looked chic, but was very old, dirty and looked cheap. The furniture, the carpet in the room was stained and dirty, i didn't even want to touch anything. Also everything was broken: the clock on the sidetable, the weight scales under the sink, the shower. The breakfast was not good. The only thing that was excellent in this hotel is the service. Will not stay here again.
Stayed here for 6 nights in November... this hotel is out of this world, truly a fantastic experience. We booked room only but had the breakfast one morning, whilst its wasnt the cheapest there was plenty of choices. Room was a very good size with a great view. Cleanliness was spot on and cleaned every day with the toiletries replenished... Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially at check in where there was a lovely lady who spoke English and mandarin and fully assisted us The pool/area was great although found the air conditioning a little to high but thats more personal preference, but was really quiet. The sauna/steam room and jacuzzi areas are separate areas for men and women and used these facilities every day and every time i used them i was the only person using them!
"Luxurious pearl in perfect location in Beijing"
What a wonderfully pleasant experience at an excellent hotel located in the middle of Beijing in the Dongcheng district, in walking distance of the forbidden city. We reserved a junior-suite for 5 days, it was luxurious and very spacious! It was so nice to have a large bedroom room and living room, even though we didn't spend much time inside - it was great to be able to come back and relax after a long day out. All of the hotel staff were so friendly, in particular our concierge, Richard, who came with useful tips on amazing places to visit in Beijing. The Chinese-style breakfast was delicious and we took advantage of the executive lounge during the evening. This is a perfect hotel if it is your first time in Beijing. Thank you for an amazing start of our honeymoon.
"Lovely and Relaxing"
Stayed here with my mother and we both enjoyed the amenities, the cozy furniture and over-sized soaking tub. The beautiful and well-kept common areas were also enjoyable, and it was the perfect place to rest after long days exploring.
"good hotel in a great location"
We were very pleased with our stay in the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable in classical European design. The stunning atrium and common areas exude a pleasing impression of luxury. The mattress was nice and firm and they had a very good pillow choice. We had a quiet room so we had a good quality sleep. The breakfast buffet was good as well but for us there were a little to much Asian food. There is a metro station near by so it was very easy to get to and from the airport and navigate through the city which will save you a fortune by avoiding overpriced taxi services. To Tianemen square and Forbidden city you can even walk or take a cheep, short and comfortable ride on Metro. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel as more budget alternative to other 5* hotels.
