"Well worth it"
Cute Hotel. Hotel room is on the small side but has all the amenities. No bath tub but the UV warmer is a nice touch. Excellent breakfast buffet. Pros: Lobby has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a very spacious dining area. The frontdesk staff are very efficient. The dining areas waitresses are excellent. Cons: Elevator is cramped (European standard) that would make it hard to fit four 25-kg luggages. Corridors are cramped as well. Tips: wifi is not complimentary. Outlet power adaptors can be borrowed for a refundable deposit fee. The property is just 300m away from Wesbahnhof station.
"Good hotel, average location"
My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2017. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk was very helpful with recommendations on where to eat, drink, and explore. The room was small, but we rarely spent time in the room so it was not a concern of mine. Wifi is not free - around 5 Euros a night. We booked this through Expedia and got breakfast for 10 Euros a day and it was fair. Nothing too special, but did the job. I'd recommend going out for breakfast so you can explore the city and the food it has to offer. It was very close to the U and S lines which take you anywhere in the city, and an airport shuttle drops you off about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. I usually prefer to stay in the city center and avoid public transportation, but this was adequate enough with the proximity of transportation. If I came to Vienna again, I'd stay in a hotel closer to the city center to avoid the public transportation, but the hotel itself was enjoyable and I had no problems with it.
We booked for this hotel as a package with our flights so didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival we noticed the good location to nearby shops and local supermarkets, so we were never short of any food or drink. The staff were very friendly and understood (and spoke) very comprehensive English. I know we should respect other languages; however when you check into a hotel you want to make sure you both understand each other's needs. Yes the hotel is around a 30 minute walk to most tourist locations but to be honest a little walk doesn't hurt anyone. We actually enjoyed the fact that we got a lot of walking in as the buildings and architecture are amazing! Yes you have to pay for the Wifi but whoop de do- why have we all become so reliant on technology! You are on holiday for christ sake- go outside and enjoy quality time with your guests not worry that you cannot check Facebook! There are perfectly good computers within the hotel which offer free wifi and ran perfectly well when I checked in our return flights online. The room was clean and as advertised on the website when I booked the holiday. If you read the guide which is left in each room- it clearly states the working hours of the cleaners. It also states that they will replace towels and bedding every 3 days due to the economy which I think is a great idea- I mean how often do you clean your own towels and bedding!' My only gripe is the size of the fitness area- it was suitable when me and my brother were up there; however if more than 2 people wanted to use it at the same time there would be a lot of waiting around! To be honest, with all the walking we did- we didn't need to use the gym! 🙈 I have read a lot of the bad reviews and while I agree people are entitled to their own opinion- i cannot believe we are all talking about the same hotel. I would most definitely recommend the hotel to people who are wanting to stay in Vienna.
"Someone was try to STEAL something from our suitcase, hotel management is a big problem"
We stayed here for two nights. On the second night, we found that someone was try to STEAL something from our suitcase . The reason for that is, 1. The combination lock was set as "000" before we left our room; when we came back, it was CHANGED to "026". 2. Also, the position of the zipper was CHANGED. It was on the LEFT hand side of our suitcase and when we came back, it was moved to the RIGHT hand side. Therefore, I do believe that someone was try to STEAL. I couldn't feel safe before check out. Hotel management is a big problem. It's very poor experience!!!! And the acoustic insulation is bad, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Modern hotel near all modes of transport (rail, trams, buses and metro) and not far from shopping and the city centre. Comfortable rooms and nice bathrooms. Huge breakfast buffet will set you up for the day. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Will be back.
