"Bad. Mice in the room"
We were a group of 11 people. Two of us received rooms that were occupied by other guests. It was very embarrasing open the door anf found people inside. But it is not the worse problem. Three pesons of the group found mice in their room. All of them in Third floor. I was in upper floor and I did not see but I heard it crying in the air conditiong tube. Staff was very kind but I think that this is unthinkable in USA
"Never felt more unwelcome or ignored"
Just checked in, could not find anyone to valet car for over 10 min even though there were 3 employees standing outside, actively ignoring my husband and myself. No one ever offered to help with luggage, mind you I have a castes arm and was trying to pull 2 suitcases and carry 2 bags. Check in took well over 30 minutes, and still no baggage assistance. Go into our room, and it smells quite moldy. I wouldn't even mind all the construction going on of it weren't for every employee being blatantly rude (with the exception of the front desk, they were slow, but pleasant).
"Not satisfactory at all"
We stayed here at the recommendation of a friend. The location is okay but not great. The hotel itself is dark and uninviting. It didn't feel that clean to me. Worst of all during our stay three of the four elevators were not in service most of the time. I felt unsafe being on the sixth floor. The room was small and, while adequate, not worth the price. Wish we'd stayed at the Hyatt across the street.
"Comfortable hotel close to Capitol & Mall"
Spacious rooms, modern fitout, decent (but pricey) bar, lots of tv channels suffered from interference for some reason. There was an issue with check in - computers went down - so I couldn't access the room until after 430pm, hence a resort fee wasn't charged. There is no minibar/fridge in the room. Be aware that there isn't much around this hotel in the way of eats/drinks - it's at least 10-15 minute walk to 7th Street where there's a few restaurants and bars (but it's a bit dodgy there at night). There is a Starbucks & a liquor store/deli at the northern end of the street. Apparently Wallmart is a few blocks away but ai bought water from the liquor store. Union Station is 10 minutes walk but I found Judiciary Square easier to access & less homeless / panhandlers hassling you. It's a big hotel, soulless somewhat but the staff were polite, no complaints.
"Good location, average room for room only price"
we picked this hotel mostly because of location and reasonable price compared to some others. The location was very good with a short walk to metro station or reasonable walk to a lot of other attractions. The room was a decent enough size and clean etc, bathroom was a little dated but ok and everything worked. My opinion is the room was quite expensive for room only but i guess they all hike up the price in popular locations. There were only 2 of the 4 elevators working during our stay and one of them felt like there was a problem with it (commented on by everyone that went in it) That said, we never had to wait long for an elevator.
