"Average hotel in the inner city"
The hotel is definetly something that is comming from the '80s, maybe the '90s. The reception / lounge area, the bar and the restaurant is nice and renewed. Sadly the same cannot be told from the rooms. Old rooms, old furniture. Wardrobe door was stucked, Bathroom is "old", the tile and the grouting is repaired with some soft gray "plasticine" at some places... The "minibar" is on the corridor, in the room's fridge I had 1 bottle of OPENED water, nothing more. The staff was nice overall, rooms were clean and tidy. Hotel is fair for 1-2 nights for business, but nothing more. There are better ones in Köln inner city - sad to say.
"Nice lobby, Shame about the room."
Check in was quick and efficient. Room was clean, but it was incredibly dated. Bath/Shower combination with a shower curtain. Not sure if all of the rooms are like this, but both times I've stayed here I've had poor quality rooms. The other complaint is I had a room at the front which didn't have good sound proofing, I could hear cars all night. The Pullman 100m up the road is a lot better in terms of standard for similar cost.
Had a great stay at the hotel this past week. The staff are welcoming and friendly, special praise to the guys running the bar. Simply excellent customer service. Even with the hotel full every thing was taken care off without any fuss. Really impressed and I would definitely recommend
"Love the location!"
I stayed here for several days in March 2017. I was attending the Pro Wein event in Dusseldorf. Many great bars, restaurants, coffee shops and nightclubs nearby. Very friendly staff! the breakfast buffet was the best!
"Great Experience Business & Pleasure"
The Lindner lives up to expectation for a four star. Basic good value for money. Rooms are small but clean and neat. Breakfast is good an provides enough variety. My husband joined me on a business trip and we stayed a few extra days over the weekend. When we enquired about a rental car the hotel kindly provided a complementary car. Yes we were amazed. It was a Nissan Leaf electric car. We used it twice. Word of caution make sure it is fully charged the night before and know that at most you should not venture more than 50 km away from the hotel. It was great. We visited Düsseldorf and Bonne on two separate days. Thanks Lindner for such a great plus. Only draw back is that they don't serve dinner but there are plenty lovely restaurants minutes away. Most of all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
