If you're looking for a serene ambiance with great staff then this is the hotel of choice. My husband and I just went for our honeymoon and it was perfect ( we did not want to come back). The staff is so sweet and kind, always giving their greetings just to mention a few Marco:from Siete who makes the smoothies is awesome (if you're open to any type of smoothie just tell him to surprise you), Cesar a waiter at the grill and Siete awesome (he spoiled my husband like crazy lol), Jose: from the grill, super lovely as well, if there wasn't something that you wanted he will make it and bring it right over to you. Paola, David and German, waiters in the beach/pool area, always had your needs met with anything you wanted, Florentino: a bartender at the bar between MB and Siete, made great drinks! Alfredo: a waiter who served us on our last night with the Romantic Seaside dinner, From housekeeping: Limber and Lilian left our room always look good. If anyone has a chance go to the beach and catch the sunset truly breathtaking especially with the different colors of the water. Thank you again to the staff from Live Aqua for a wonderful time throughout our stay. ( Los extrañaremos!!) - J&J Rodas P.S. If you get a chance do the the releasing of the turtles awesome experience, and try to catch the sunrise on the beach, truly amazing.
"Five days with a consistent level of superior service"
I don't write as many reviews as I should, and while I've stayed at several all inclusive resorts -- Manzanillo, Los Cabos as well as Cancun/Playa del Carmen. -- Live Aqua stands out in a very good way. -- I'm not sure about their training protocols, but they are excellent. -- *Every* single member of their staff went out of their way to smile and say hello. I'm not just talking about waitstaff or those who interact with the guests directly either. A strong sense of hospitality ran through the staff; Be it those who were cleaning or doing touch up painting/repairs in the hallways, all the way down to the young men cleaning the pool and grooming the beaches. Too many of their staff were stand out to mention them all; However, I will let you know, -- My better half made it a point to request Daisy on her second trip to the spa. -- We had several massages during our stay, as well as took advantage of the cabanas for rent on the beach with included foot massages. Lobster dinner at Innla'Kech (pronounced, "In La Catch" -- Not sure if I spelled it correctly-- Is an additional $50 or $60 but well worth the cost! (We ate there twice.) The lobster tails were monsters, 14 oz. tails that would rival the best Maine has to offer, and they were grilled to perfection. Over all, a great relaxing and tranquil resort. -- Some reviewers on here didn't care for the aroma therapy, but our group all thought it was great. (With one exception, the melted chocolate aroma at the club level was not a favorite.) If you like things a bit more on the "loud" side, the swim up bar on the far left side of the resort, as you look towards the ocean, has speakers set up and serves as a great warm-up for an energetic evening. If you are an after dinner drinker would enjoy having a few cocktails at the bar, Josymark in the Egos Bar is sure to entertain! He is "El Rey" of just about any cocktail or presentation that includes fire! Please pay attention when you request an elevator as they don't "Ding" upon arrival at your floor...if you aren't watching the bank of elevators, you'll miss your ride! I know it's a big debate, but we always tip the staff; Even when I left our stack of ones and fives in the room one day, service didn't miss a beat! (Typically we try and tip upfront, it just ensures even better than their already excellent service.) Leaving a tip for the maid --in advance-- ensured extra water, coffee and towels/clean robes for us in the suite the duration of the trip.
"Fantastic beach and weekend stay at LIve Aqua"
Spent a long weekend with another couple at Live Aqua. We were pleasantly surprised by the qualify of the food and drink at this all-inclusive. The pools and beach area are excellent. We walked the beach one morning and this property had the nicest set-up of many high end hotels along the same stretch including JW and Ritz. Bar service at the beach was great (Samuel was friendly and attentive every day) and plenty or room to get chairs at either beach or pool, which adds to a relaxing vacation. Taco and ceviche place for lunch was great, casual and you close to beach. The mojito bar also made great drinks. Azure ad MB were our favorite spots for dinner, Asian restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, food was average. Some prior reviews noted pressure for a time share presentation. We didn't get this once. It was offered at check-in and when we declined, never mentioned again. Rooms are spacious and clean. Overall, great property.
Absolutely beautiful resort at a stunning location The good: Staff is super friendly, polite, and attentive which I think are all extremely important. Maid service was good, we locked all valuables away to avoid issues, the room was always stocked- they even drew us a bubble bath and wrote "Come Back Soon" in colored rice on our bed our last night. The pools were beautiful, grounds were well taken care of. Food was pretty good! They were excellent with the personal touches- this was my bday gift from April they still brought out a cake and sang, every morning something huge was written in the sand, either a bday or anniversary. Room was ready at 12PM when we arrived, we paid $800 to upgrade! The bad: we traveled with another couple. So when we entered the upgraded joint rooms- one was HUGE complete with two bathrooms one large hot tube and two huge tvs and two balconies. The other was small, two full sized beds, and it was kind of weird and awkward because we had the key to the big one and they had the small one.. Day two the BF and I tried out the hot tub- huge leak in the fiberglass- leaked all over the floor. It was the highlight of the room and it was useless- after we explained the issue and asked for an upgrade (specified it did not had to be joined) they merely gave us the same room on a different floor- so this time we gave the other couple the big room, even tho we both paid the same extra price... It was just very weird.. Other than that there were some minor construction issues going on, I must of seen at least six different instances where engineers were fixing things out in the open during my stay. I read a review that said some of the hotel's fun activities were not advertised- I would agree with that. Just a few things that Live Aqua might appreciate being brought to their attention, otherwise we thank you for a really wonderful trip.
