Loews Miami Beach Hotel is ideally located, in the heart of vibrant, cosmopolitan South Beach, with direct access to the beach and all the city has to offer.
This is a great choice for a hotel. Family friendly. The staff was wonderful...in every area! Food was great! Location was ideal. Walking distance to Lincoln.Comment of M. Crystal , United States the 2015-06-26
I have stayed at many hotels, some much more luxurious than this one but I have never received the level of customer service I experienced at Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Only one word is needed to express my stay...SUPERB...Loews should be proud of their employees, in all levels. Planning on making going back soon!!Comment of M. Yolanda , United States the 2015-05-21
Accommodations and location of hotel is fabulous. 5 minutes walk from Ocean Drive, Espanola Way and Lincoln Street open air Mall. Lack of choice in restaurant but plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.Comment of L. Christine , United Kingdom the 2015-05-04

Stayed eight nights with my family over the christmas holidays 2016/2017. Loews is a good hotel, but definately not a five star hotel. The room we had on the eleventh floor was ok, but had what you ought to expect when it comes to european standard. I would say Loews had what you could expect, but not more. The reception is huge, but not personal and it feels like you're staying at a motel or something. There's a constant flow of tourists that makes it difficult to get a personal feeling for the hotel. Avoid the breakfast because it's overpriced and unpersonal plus the hotelparking. There's a lot of cafes around the hotel and cheap parking quite close to the hotel. The pool area is familyfriendly and the best in the area, but a lot of people and noicy.
"Overcharged and under-delivered: to the extent of being unapologetically misleading"
It is difficult to think of any aspect of our 3 nights here that justified the expense, met the description of the room and services that we booked or met our expectations. Some 6 months prior, we booked a suite for our family (including 3 children, 12, 10 and 6 years) at a cost or more than $800 per night. Upon arrival the staff checked us in to a room that they said offered partial views of the beach and which they assured us we 'would love'. The most benign view is that the staff had no idea of the rooms in their own hotel - the one allocated to us was on the opposite side of the hotel from the beach and on the bottom floor and any form of view of the beach was simply an impossibility. The room itself could hardly be described as a suite - sure, it was large, but the main bed was a 'fold out' from the wall and the bathroom had no separate shower. Our package included a $50 per day credit to be used on food/beverage in the hotel - unfortunately we didn't check in until 10pm which effectively limited us to using it on room service. We were unable to do so though as there was no menu provided until some 1 hour after we asked for one - by which time we were all too tired to contemplate ordering anything at the exorbitant prices on offer. Undeterred, the hotel still managed to charge us a resort fee for the 2 hours we spend in the hotel that night. In addition to the room rate, each room is charged a 'resort fee' of some $28 per night ostensibly for various things including use of chairs beside the pool. When I raised each of the above with the staff, I was told that the hotel would be in contact with me - some 2 weeks later I have heard nothing. I waited to write this review in case I did hear from them. Hence any comment that the hotel now elects to add to this review ought be approached with some scepticism.
"Service with a Smile!"
My company recently attended a conference at which the Loew's Miami Beach was the host hotel. From the second I stepped out of the cab at the front door of the hotel, I felt important and respected. The staff was extremely attentive and wanted to make sure that my experience and my company's experience was bar none to any other hotel we've ever visited.
We stayed in the older part which the rooms ended up being much smaller than we had anticipate. Our room faced the ocean and the windows were operable so we kept the open most nights. Large hotel and many families seemed to stay here. check in and out was not issue even though there was a bit of a wait. Didn't eat at any of the hotel's restaurants as there were so many in walking distance. Overall it was okay but since there are so many hotels not sure we would be back.
"A Nice convention hotel, though the remodel is stark and cold"
I've been here for years. It's a big convention hotel, so regular guests might get overrun by the crush of blue blazer-types. The remodel tries to attain a Miami coral-ish motif, but it comes off as cold and colorless. It detracts from the atmosphere, as if it's trying to compete with the Delano or a "hip" place. Nevertheless, the amenities are good. The beach is great, the pool's pretty good. Restaurants are only accessed across the walk. The Loews is a good alternative for those who want a fully-equipped, full service hotel, though I plan to try the next door Ritz Carlton next time.
