Loews Miami Beach Hotel is ideally located, in the heart of vibrant, cosmopolitan South Beach, with direct access to the beach and all the city has to offer.
This is a great choice for a hotel. Family friendly. The staff was wonderful...in every area! Food was great! Location was ideal. Walking distance to Lincoln.Comment of M. Crystal , United States the 2015-06-26
I have stayed at many hotels, some much more luxurious than this one but I have never received the level of customer service I experienced at Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Only one word is needed to express my stay...SUPERB...Loews should be proud of their employees, in all levels. Planning on making going back soon!!Comment of M. Yolanda , United States the 2015-05-21
Accommodations and location of hotel is fabulous. 5 minutes walk from Ocean Drive, Espanola Way and Lincoln Street open air Mall. Lack of choice in restaurant but plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.Comment of L. Christine , United Kingdom the 2015-05-04

"Lots to love. A few glitches."
We spent President's weekend at the Loews-our first visit to this property. Overall, a very strong experience. I'll start with the good and end with the areas that were odd given how many things are done well. The good: Front desk staff- Loews be very proud of this group. From our check in experience, to asking a few questions to checkout. Everyone we encountered at the front desk was an A++ professional with a warm manner and attention to customer service. Very impressive. Cleaning staff- hardworking, friendly, prompt. Our room was spotless and any member of cleaning staff we met in the halls were friendly and genuine. Pool staff - working hard and accommodating. As other reviews have noted, they set you up with chairs and are crystal clear that if you leave your chairs for more than an hour, your items will be removed and taken to the pool cabana where towels are kept. Fair enough. They make it super clear. Grounds-other than one odd incident of overflowing (as in garbage overflowing the can next to the complimentary water station ) garbage that was not addressed for over an hour on saturday morning as staff after staff walked by, it was a lovely beachy outdoors. Room itself: we had an obviously renovated room/rooms. Whites and grays. Good sized and very comfortable and more storage than I have ever seen in a hotel room. So many drawers and cubbies! Vibe: We were with our adult children but it was a lovely family friendly atmosphere. If we had younger children, I would not hesitate to go here. Again, personal preference. As others have mentioned, if you want a "sexy" adult vibe, this would not be the place for you. But we enjoyed the combo of mellow and happy family action. Given how high the highs were here, it made the lows stand out. I hope the Loews (no pun intended) takes this in the spirit intended: The less than great: --Slow slow slow service at bar, Preston's, Lure and Collins Bar. There is an automatic 20% added to your bill as gratuity. Loews, there is no doubt this is resulting in lackluster service given that the tip is a lock. I would really rethink that it you can. At Preston's for lunch, our server (Sunday noon-a man) was rude, bumped into my chair like 6 times. You can't have that. He also actually said "It's a long walk for me to the bar. Could you also place your food order now so I don't have to go back'" That's laughable and appalling. --A mix of high level and low level poolside servers. We encountered amazing service and another round of lackluster rude service (female server on Sunday afternoon). Inconsistent. -Paper thin walls in rooms. A others have mentioned, this was a head scratcher. I could literally hear someone opening a bag in the next room. But to end on a high note. We will absolutely return and look forward to doing so. The incredibly curated selection of mens and women's clothing and high end sunglasses in the lobby shop was a great addition. The gentleman from the bell station who loaded my luggage as we departed was as warm and friendly as if we were just arriving. Again, we enjoyed our stay and hope that the Loews takes these suggestions as sincere input that would improve the experience and frankly elevate you to 5 stars plus.
"Worst renovation "
We have coming to Loews Miami for over 6 years during the Miami Boat Show. Upon entering gone is the classic warm feeling replaced with stark cold feeling. Feels like a Vegas hotel. You can hear people using the bathroom next to you in your room and no glass shower doors curtains! A member of our group waited two hours for a quesadilla at the beach service area. I guess if gratuity of 20% included no reason for good service. Spa area has table set out with items like a garage sale. I loved having the fresh juice drinks made to order but when I did I was brought a bottle version. They have removed the palm trees going down to pool area. What was a tropical feeling going down to pool now looks empty. The management who made this decision did a poor job. If it isn't broke don't fix it! It's obvious trying to make more money by removing the things that made this hotel special. At least I have great memories. Our group will not be back.
"Lots of families!"
Here is the deal - if you are coming to Miami with your kids, you should stay here. If you want to relax at the pool and enjoy a few drinks, do not stay here. Stay at Fontainebleau or the W. The pool was 100% kids and pool noodles, ah! The vibe was all family. Hotel is clean, rooms are fine, but for the money you should stay somewhere else- trust me.
"Next Stop The Caribbean "
Stayed two nights at this hotel, check in was fast and efficient. Room was very clean with a balcony and sea view. The hotel was busy and seating around the pool was not available, sat on the beach which was fine. Had a menu for food and drink available on the beach but were very expensive. Would stay here again.
The management team was unresponsive and frustrating. Upon check-in, our room was not ready (and it was 5pm, past check-in time). We were offered a credit to our final bill - which we didn't even request, but accepted. Upon check-out, the credit was not acknowledged entirely and management was not available so we had to take care of the charges. I was told management would contact us within the hour - it's been four days and I've received no phone call. The pool, beach and service staff were outstanding - prompt and attentive. The hotel and areas within were clean and the food was excellent. Ask for a room away from the elevators - it was difficult sleeping with the elevator noise.
