"Great customer service and food"
I visited for a weekend and it was a great surprise discovering this great location! The condos have a great design and the concierge service was incredible! The hotel amenities are great! The infinity pool area, jacuzzi is great for relaxing! We saw lapa roja bird flying over the pool area! We went late for breakfast and they reopened breakfast for us! Greatly appreciated! We had breakfast watching the spider monkeys next to us! Overall I had a great weekend and rested on a great facility with great costumer service! Thank you! Emersson
I don't usually take the time to provide reviews, but I was so impressed with my stay that I felt compelled to help others take advantage of this special place in Manual Antonio. Fantastic rooms, unbelievably helpful staff - perhaps the most beautiful restaurant setting in the area - early morning breakfast in this outdoor paradise overlooking the Pacific was just perfect.
"Great Place for Families"
We just returned from a 6 day vacation in Costa Rica and had the best experience staying at The Preserve at Los Altos. I was there with my 2 adult sisters, my 25 year old son and 16 year old daughter. The apartment style lodging was so spacious, there was plenty of room for all of us. So clean and stylish, and what a view! All of the employees were very friendly and Jonathan, Fabio and Caesar at the front desk were so helpful. They arranged tours for us, and transportation. They made suggestions of where to go and what to do and always greeted us with friendly smiles. If you decide to walk the trail to the beach, be aware that it is easy to get lost and end up on the beach of another resort where the employees are not so friendly! The beach itself is small and rocky, but it is secluded and relaxing. Adrien who works there was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a really nice lunch that was driven down to us from Karolas. When we were ready to return to the resort, he radioed up and they sent transportation to drive us up the steep hill. Speaking of Karola's, the open-air restaurant has a wonderful view of the ocean. The food is very good and as with the rest of the resort, the staff is attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed delicious complimentary breakfast every morning and I'm sure we gained some weight from the most delicious French toast we have ever had, made to order by a very talented chef before our eyes. He also made the most amazing pancake art- toucans, flowers, monkeys, which were also delicious, but believe me, the French toast was well worth the calories! While we were at Los Altos, we saw a lot of adorable monkeys and a few glimpses of some sloths. The pool is very nice with a beautiful very of the ocean. It is well worth it to go to the pool in the late afternoon as the monkeys tend to come out around 4 o'clock, you can enjoy 2 for 1 happy hour drinks served by another group of friendly staff members, and watch the beautiful sunset on the ocean. One last thing. We were very concerned about traveling so close to the rainy season. Do not believe your weather app! Our entire week's forecast predicted 60-80% chance of rain every day and it didn't rain a drop! The weather was gorgeous. We had an amazing time at Los Altos and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Costa Rica!

"OMG is this place awesome!!!"
Of all the places we stayed in CR, this is the place I would absolutely 100% make a beeline to come back to. First of all, it is simply gorgeous. The "rooms", the views, the beach. All of it top notch. I put rooms in quotes because it was a 3 bedroom 3.5 bath condo with a full kitchen, living room, and dining room. The elevator opens up right into the unit. Which is so awesome. That's been on my bucket list ever since I saw 3 Men and a Baby back in like 1985. There is a private beach just for use of guests at this hotel. It is about a mile down a cliff, so they have a pick up that will drop you off and pick you up whenever you want to go. Just ask and they take you. The was probably our favorite part of our stay. We just arrived after a long 5 hour drive from the Arenal area, immediately put on our suits and headed down. We were literally the only people there. This whole beach on an enclave with nothing but gorgeousness as far as the eye can see, no other sign of life. Holy cow did we feel special. The waves were perfect-- big enough to jump and ride in and have a blast in, but no real current to worry about my boys (ages 11 and 7.5) getting pulled under. The food at the restaurant was not really our favorite, at least for dinner. Sandwiches at lunch were pretty good. We did order room service one night and enoy it in our room while relaxing after an exhausting day of hiking, surfing, and being in the sun. It was just perfect. On our 2nd night there, a troop of squirrel monkeys joined us at the pool. This is a once in a lifetime experience if there ever was one. They were jumping all over the people. Just hanging out. Truly unbelievable. We are so lucky to have seen it! I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. For the price, you get all that you could ever dream of and more. Book this place now!
