"Comfortable, Pretty & Good Value"
This is a lovely hotel in an older building on a tree lined street full of elegant shopping venues. Our accommodation was two rooms; a combination dining and seating area and a full sized bedroom, all with elegant 15 ft high ceilings. The rooms are lovely, the bed comfortable and the entire premises immaculate. The staff are well trained, pleasant, friendly and their English skills are far superior to my German. We were travelling with friends who stayed at the Grand Hyatt which I found far more expensive and much less comfortable. Unfortunately, our friends picked all the (excellent) restaurants which were all expensive taxi rides across the city. We highly recommend this hotel to you all. There was one annoying quirk which merits comment: The room is equipped with a coffee maker and two pods of espresso coffee were available upon arrival, as was a bottle of water. On the second day of our stay neither had been replaced, nor on the third. When I asked for more coffee I was told I would be charged 1.50 Euro for each. Really, should one have to check out and back in each day to have a coffee in the room'
"Great Central Hotel - to be recommended"
We had two suites in the hotel and were totally spoiled for space. Very comfortable rooms each suite with a balcony. The mini-bar was well stocked and we really had no complaints at all. The only downside is the cost of the breakfast, but despite this was good with more on offer than your standard hotel buffet. We did not use the swimming pool at all as the number of children in there was deafening.
"Lovely quiet hotel"
Lovely hotel. Very quiet. In a very nice area with lots of bars and restaurants. Quite a hike to most sights other than the blue church, however public transport is excellent. Would be happy to stay here again. Upgraded as we were staying 4 nights. Pleased to have booked kitchen to make breakfast as the hotel breakfast was 25e- difficult to see how unless scrambled eggs and caviare- fortunately there was a 24/7 right next door. However although the facilities and equipment were good it would have been nice to have the nespresso pods refreshed daily. Initial very small supply only. Lovely shower and huge comfortable bed. Balcony at rear so not a great view over the neighbouring flats but it meant breakfast in dressing gown (supplied) on the balcony possible. Building work on flats behind, but good soundproofing so not a problem. Didn't think to take swimmers so didn't try the pool or sauna.
"Solid value -- would stay again"
Surprisingly good for the money! Spacious, good sound insulation, extraordinarily attentive housekeeping. The location is good, a one minute walk away from the U7. Staff were helpful and professional. Would definitely stay again.
"Very Comfortable, Very relaxing, Excellent location"
I have stayed in this hotel with my family, it was a real gem during our trip to the extent that we were tending to stay more in the hotel to relax inside the large comfortable rooms. If you have kids, this hotel will be perfect, as they will have much space to move. It's more like an apartment with two bedroom, working area, and very nice balcony in addition to full kitchen. the staff were very friendly, they provided help whenever we requested. the hotel is in excellent location, near to many restaurant and cafes, the hop on hop off bus station is around 20 minutes walk to the right after the hotel door. The ATM machine is 10 minutes walk on the same direction, and there is a large 24 hours supermarket 20 minutes walk to the left. and mini-market just around the corner in front of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, It was one of the highlights of our Berlin visit.
