"Good for a week"
I stayed here for a week and this hotel is very clean and has a nice pool area. We stayed bed and breakfast however the breakfast isn't really up to much, hot dog sausages, no plates or clean tables and very slow turn around however there was only two staff on. There is wifi but it's expensive apart from in one room where it's free. The pool area is nice with lots of sun beds and you don't have to get a mat or a towel it's fine without them save yourself some money! The reception staff were lovely and on arrival they moved us to a higher room with a better view. Also one gentleman called Gracias is very friendly and helpful! The hotel is close to the strip and the noise can be heard on the 2nd floor but it's not too loud, rooms were very nice and clean and spacious. Hotel is near lots of bars and restaurants which I would highly recommend, is a 5 minute taxi ride to Siam park and is great for being close to the sea Overall we had a great stay just a shame about the breakfast.
"Nice hotel but not quite as it was sold to us"
We've just returned from a week long stay at the hotel, full board. In general I would say the hotel was nice - kept clean with good facilities and fairly decent food. We were visiting with our toddler so when we visited Thomson to book the holiday, they sold it to us based on the toddler splash pool and the soft play room. In reality these were disappointing - the pool was freezing, far colder than the other pools. Most of the water sprays didn't work. There were no sun beds around the toddler pool so you couldn't comfortably sit while your child played. The soft play was even more of a disappointment - it was only open from 8pm! The restaurant and reception staff were pretty unfriendly and unhelpful. On arrival there was no cot in our room despite it being on the booking request. It took 3 calls to reception to get this resolved and a cot was finally brought to our room 5 hours later just as our little boy needed to go to bed. The restaurant staff didn't ever smile. Every time we arrived, we had to ask for a highchair, on occasion asking several times - they acted like we were asking for them to donate their kidney. The cleaning staff however were very friendly, always chatting. We had no issue with the location and didn't find the room noisy despite it being right opposite Linekers bar. The daytime activities were fine and the mini disco seemed to go down well. We didn't see any of the evening entertainment. The pool area was nice - they charge €1.90 for a mattress for the sun bed but this really isn't required. Drinks were also expensive - over €2 for a bottle of water with your meal. We only had one alcoholic drink each at the hotel as it was more than we wanted to pay, yet our bar bill for soft drinks still came to €70! All in all we weren't unhappy with the hotel, it just wasn't quite what we were expecting for our needs. The staff need to learn to crack a smile though and actually develop some customer service skills.
Just got back from a week here with my boyfriend (mid 20's) and enjoyed our stay especially after reading all the negative views We decided not to hang around for our transfer so hopped into a taxi which took us roughly 15 mins costing €25 euros. Rooms - requested a upper floor and was overlooking the road which also had a minimal sea view and mountain view. Very clean and beds very comfy. Paid €5 deposit for the fridge which was mini but good enough to keep our water cool etc Food - went half board and was slightly let down by the food. Breakfast was minimal but ok. Lunch again very minimal and repeated same thing everyday. Dinner was either really bland or really salty. We did have a really good meal on the Sunday which was pork dinner with all the trimmings. You can choose whether to go for lunch or dinner they just scan your room card and pay for any drinks when you check out. Drinks - feel these were little pricy. €2.30 for a bottle of water whereas the shop across the road for €0.75 Staff - found all staff to be fairly pleasant however the staff with the card machines in the restaurant were quite rude and didn't smile once. We had a bit of difficulty with the bar man at the pool bar, we wanted an ice cream and when we asked we were told we couldn't help ourselves and that he simply didn't have time to get us what we wanted so we went empty handed (poor service) Location - perfect location. 2 mins walk from the strip (yes it is noisy but if you don't want to be disturb then don't book here) in middle of playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje. Cheap bars and restaurants nearby. Beach 3 mins walk away. Entertainment - we didn't watch the hotel entertainment but every time we passed through reception it seemed to be good and always had a mini disco on for the kids Pool - plenty of sun lounges, no need for mattresses as they were comfy enough. We went down at around 9.30am and managed to get a bed. Pool was freezing was all part of the experience and deffo worth a dip after a hot day Tips - request a high floor/ go half board/ must visit Siam park :) We would return here again.
"More 5*, than 4*"
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were treated to a 5* experience. The staff are so polite and helpful, the food is excellent, and the rooms are large and very nicely fitted out. The pool area is massive, so there are plenty of new and comfortable sun beds.(You can hire pads and towels for €1.95 pp per day, but honestly, you don't need them. The hotel is well situated, with all the bars and restaurants just a short walk away. There is a cheap small supermarket directly across the road from the main entrance. Drinks are a bit pricey around the pool, €3-20 for a beer and €3-00 for a soft drink, but we take our cool bag, and fill up at the supermarket. To get from the airport, we used a company called holiday taxis, which is a coach firm,(€32-95 return for 2), 30 minute transfer. All in all, a fabulous few days at a fabulous hotel.
Cleanliness: Spotless cleaning staff always around. Staff: Always Professional, always helpful, always polite Room (019): Family room on the ground floor - not in a basement as other reviewers have stated and yes there is a 3m wall as a view but in todays world a bit of security isn't a bad thing and if on your holiday you want to spend all day sat outside your hotel room then why bother going on holiday. The other benefit of putting the families on the ground level is that you have a garden to spread out into and if you are with another family as we were the kids could safely run amok whilst we sat in the evening sun. The Wi-Fi isn't great - its either poor in the reading room or expensive in your room but I'm on holiday so email, Facebook and WhatsApp can wait. I found not being connected liberating and as a result managed to relax The room itself is spacious enough for the fallout associated with two kids, the bathroom has a built in Hairdryer, good hot shower and if you ask at check in for a third swipe card you can leave it in the "let there be light" slot and the Air-con and any charging points stay on all day so you can return to a nice cool room after a hot day. There is a TV in the room but thankfully it was not used (refer to my earlier declaration of being relaxed). The bed was comfy and I found that the only noise at night came from the waves hitting the beach, which was not unpleasant. there was some nominal noise from bars nearby but this was masked out once I closed the balcony doors and it was probably deflected by the big wall too. Food: Plenty of choice at breakfast. yes its the same every day but what would you change. various fruits, various cereals, several types of bread, selection of cold meats and cheeses or have a fry up and they have a great omelette chef. Dinner: Again, plenty of choice, good variations and each night was different but always tasty. Drinks no more expensive than the bars and you get good measures with the spirits, yes you have to pay with the room card but you always get a costed receipt so you know exactly what you are spending. Entertainment - the house bands are there to cater for the early evening crowd of slightly older patrons. But the main entertainers are generally really good. something different every night. Pool - good, clean, and we always managed to find a group of loungers together. Plus if you are a returning guest then the towels and mats are free to hire. Spa - had some therapy on my injured shoulder and it really helped. There is a free gym and then a series of pools, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs at a cost of 15 euros a day with discounts for multiple visits. The Entertainment team throughout the day were absolutely amazing. Great with the kids clubs and with the pool activities alike. Overall They have had a refit since our last visit which has given the hotel a brighter, cleaner feel. There was a really good atmosphere in the hotel, partly down to there not being any big groups of drunken lads on tour. this is our second stay in this hotel and we are planning our third. When we return to Tenerife we will be staying here.
