"Location great but not the best hotel "
We had stayed here before but it has changed since. The biggest change is the $35 a day charge for breakfast lunch and night drinks. The breakfast is ok, lunch is terrible and if you want to stay in the hotel and drink I am sure you could get your money's worth. Considering the room rate this could be included. The location is fantastic, right on rodeo drive and has a lounge where you can sit and people watch. Rooms are small and the air conditioning is noisy. We had a room overlooking rodeo drive (which also adds to noise) No pool it restaurant are a let down
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We arrived at 2pm from a redeye flight from Japan, and we were exhausted. We sat in the bar/dining area for our room to be ready. It was 3pm (the actual check in time) before we were told it was ready. The lobby is small, 2 office desks that the staff works. A seating area across. The bar/dining area looks great during happy hour when dimly lit, however, the apholstery was stained and looked rough. Wrong fabric choices for this environment. The bartenders were nice. When you needed a coffee or beer the service was prompt. They have a small buffet sat out at breakfast time and small bites at lunch time and happy hours. Sodas, water and coffee are complimentary and available all the time. Beer/wine/cocktails are complimentary from 5-10. In addition to the bar area there is a nice patio area to dine in front of the hotel looking at Rodeo Drive. If you utilize the free offerings, the daily pp $35 fee is worth it. Our room was a large king room in the front, overlooking Rodeo Drive. It was quiet, which was important to us. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was clean, but again, stains on the fabric chair and carpeting. The bathroom was big and lots of room for toiletries. We had a nice stay, they're currently in the middle of renovations, still some touches that needs to be addressed. We would recommend.
"The Reality of Beverly Hills"
The Luxe Rodeo is a pleasant and quiet hotel. The staff is friendly and capable. The facilities are adequate, but it is an older hotel - once a nursing facility of some sort reinvented as a Rodeo Drive Hotel. The rooms are unremarkable, but clean and comfortable. While close to the Peninsula and Montage, it is a much different type of accommodation. There are none of the amenities you would expect to find in a Beverly Hills hotel, but there are restaurants all other necessary services very close by. What makes the Luxe Rodeo attractive are somewhat lower rates than their local competitors and best of all, it is right on Rodeo Drive in the very middle of Beverly Hills, which can be helpful.
We spent two nights at the Luxe and had a great time. The room was lovely and being on Rodeo Drive we were in the center of luxury. The staff were friendly and breakfast buffet was great! Definitely recommend this hotel!
"Location location location!"
This hotel was excellent. From the comfortable rooms and attentive staff to the location on Rodeo Drive. Our room was very comfortable with only slight negative with very loud air con. We got over that. Room and bathroom were both very clean. The daily fee covers daily breakfast which changed everyday and was fine. It also includes drinks at the bar each evening. A welcome surprise and enjoyed by most guests. This wasn't realised for us until day 2 so perhaps an explanation of what it covers would of been great but as we were there for 5 days we didn't miss out too much. Great experience snd we will definitely be back when next in LA.
