"2D1N Staycation at M Hotel Singapore Club Premier Room"
I had the opportunity to have a short staycation at M Hotel Singapore and I had booked the Club Room on a weekday. As part of the Flexible Rate option, I was upgraded to a Club Premier room upon check-in. CHECK-IN The check-in process was rather smooth and it was done at the main lobby itself. I must state that the main lobby looked posh and the front desk staff were very professional in performing their duties. I was not offered any private check-in at the Club Lounge, but in all honesty, I wasn't sure if M Hotel Singapore had the option for private check-in at the club lounge for guests with Club privileges. I was quickly given my room access and I made my way to my room. ROOM The room was definitely clean, orderly and the amenities was a cut above the rest.The large bed in the room was comfortable but the main attraction for me was the super soft goose - feathers pillows, which gave me a good night's sleep. In the event that you find those pillows provided uncomfortable, fret not, because there is also a pillow menu that you can have a look at and choose a set of pillows that would suit your needs. The pillows provided were abundant and there was also two extra pillows in the cupboard as well. There was a big desk which allowed me to finish up writing my reports and the view of from the desk was of the Keppel Pier and the horizon of the sea. Spectacular view. The toilet was minimalistic with complete toiletries provided and a beautiful bathtub. Unfortunately, the standalone shower was small and if you did not close the door of the shower, water would be all over the bathroom floor. Once the doors was closed, it was a tight squeeze. CLUB LOUNGE The club lounge unfortunately looks dated and to my dismay, they had an episode of vacuuming of the floors while it was during the evening cocktail hour. I had brought my macbook and was hoping for a quiet time while having a cup of tea and some snacks but had a headache after the vacuuming episode. The canapés provided was quite a spread and the drinks selection was wide as well. Otherwise, nothing much to rave about the club lounge. BREAKFAST AT THE MAIN RESTAURANT Breakfast spread at the main restaurant was rather good with a wide variety of different foods. There was quite a fair bit of foods from Northern India as well as Hong Kong delicacies such as dim sum and steamed buns in the shape of a rabbit. Coffee and Tea was already poured out in mugs and guests simply need to pick up a mug and head back to their table. OVERALL I think the Club Premier rooms exude a sense of class of its own with wonderful pillows as the highlight! Staff were friendly, right down to the housekeeping staff who always greeted guests along the corridor. Card access and having Club Floors on its own maintained the exclusiveness. Great stay at M Hotel Singapore.
The room is big enough and clean. The hotel is in the downtown and pretty closed to some popular places (Marina bay, Gardens by the Bay, Boat quay, etc.) at the same time. View from the room was to the sea but with shipyard.
The rooms and facilities were good but the service in this hotel is extremely poor: 1) Refusal to provide additional bottles of water (I do not replenish on a daily basis/request for daily room make over). To add on she was very unrefined about it. 2) Breakfast is meant to be served till 10.30am. At 10.15am they start clearing up and most of the dishes are not refilled. Rude F&B staff as well. When i complained to the F&B Manager, he said he will get back to me with an update. Did not receive one till check out 3) Requested for spray to wipe down the gym equipment during my morning workout. Did not get one. Requested at the reception again in the evening but i was made to wait for over 10 mins with no response. To add on the reception staff was extremely rude. She really should not be customer fronting 4) Rude housekeeping staff. Sulks and sighs when i request for a change of towels and the bin to be cleaned (I do not request fr daily make overs) 5) Applied fr the M privilege card - did not get an email from the manager or notice of card application to my mailbox Perhaps the only service which is commendable is the concierge who are very courteous and willing to help. In conclusion i will never stay in this hotel for my future business trips nor recommend it to anyone else. Definitely the worst business hotel i have stayed in.
"Spacious and Clean Room "
Last min booked for a family staycation and was skeptical at first, kind of worried if the room is not properly well-maintained or even with old furnishings. To our surprise, the room is very comfortable for a family Staycation. We stayed for a night at the newly refurbished Club Premier Room. It was spacious and clean! Pool (0.9m to 2m) and Jacuzzi at level 11 is clean except that there is no children pool. Nevertheless, We would love to return to M Hotel for our next Staycation.. Overall, good choice for a Staycation for a hotel in town !
Excellent service by the exec lounge staff . Drinks are limited however the service and the food choices make up for it. Train station is nearby with many food choices nearby. View is amazing from the exec club..
