"Location and that's pretty much it"
The only thing going for this hotel is it's location. Otherwise it's grossly over priced, full of badly behaved Chinese tourists on a tour operator budget. To top it off, the Internet is really really bad. Keeps losing connectivity and runs at a glacial speed when it's working. I complained multiple times and after trying to switch on and off the internet with no improvement, the hotel basically gave up and admitted they had a problem with their"service provider" and it might take a few days to fix!!
"Perfect hotel for Business Travel"
Rooms are spacious with an area to do work, bed for sleeping and modern bathroom. Modern room. Close to everything. Breakfast included in room rate from my work. Nice bonus. Gym is good. Staff was friendly. Overall this is a great place. And, if you are lucky to get a view of the water, it is even nicer.
"2D1N Staycation - Club Room - Delightful stay with warm hospitality"
CHECK-IN The check-in was done at the main front desk, and as always, a simple and smooth process. After I was done with the necessary paperwork, I made my way to my room and was greeted by Mr. Brandon who offered to help me with my luggage. I humbly declined the assistance to which he then offered to escort me to my room instead. Indeed, that was a delightful gesture. In the elevator, we made small talk and I had asked him about 'walking directions' to a particular destination. When I had arrived on the 26th floor, I got out of the elevator and walked to my room while Mr. Brandon went back down to help me with the directions that I had asked for assistance with. Unfortunately, when I got to my room, the room was still being cleaned by the Housekeeping staff, and I waited at the elevator lobby for the Housekeeping staff to be done. When Mr. Brandon came back up to pass me the directions that I had asked for, he enquired as to why I was waiting at the elevator lobby and I told him that the room was still being cleaned and he apologised profusely, despite me reassuring him that it was alright and there was no need to apologise at length. He quickly led me to the 28th floor to the club lounge and made me a cup of tea and assured me that he would sort things out while I wait for him in the lounge. It didn't take him long before he was back and brought me to my room, also on the 28th floor. As I was getting settled in my room, Mr. Brandon came over again and offered me a Chicken Pie, which he 'rumoured to be very good' and in my honest and humble opinion, was indeed very tasty!! Mr. Brandon has certainly gone the extra mile for service recovery and his warm and hospitable demeanour simply sealed the deal!! THE ROOM Well, as always, there is nothing short of a clean, comfortable room on the Club Floor. The bed was extremely large, with a large work desk (very useful for business professionals) and there was also a pillow menu, should you require a different pillow for your sleeping needs. I had always requested for a room facing the harbour and I've never been let down. The view of the harbour is simply beautiful and I spent hours gazing out of the window. BATHROOM The bathroom was simple, a bathtub and a shower cubicle, which unfortunately, the shower cubicle was a squeeze. Otherwise, I didn't have much issue with the bathroom as it fulfilled the general hygiene needs of a traveller. BREAKFAST I had breakfast at the Club Lounge to avoid the huge crowd at the main dining restaurant, so that I could catch up on some light reading and breakfast was a lovely spread in the Club Lounge with an eggs station! As I was having my breakfast, Mr Kanna (Manager), came by and addressed me by my name. I was indeed surprised that he managed to address me by name without any earlier interactions, which simply shows that Mr. Kanna is a hospitable member of the Hotel and knows his guests on a personal basis. We spoke about the incident that happened the day before, on the room still being cleaned after I had been checked-in and again, he apologised. We had a good chat about several general matters and I mentioned to him of Mr. Brandon's kind gesture of escorting me to my room and sending me a chicken pie. OVERALL EXPERIENCE Despite the small hiccup at the beginning of my stay at M Hotel Singapore, I am glad to say that I had enjoyed a warm, hospitable and personal stay. It was a delightful experience with Mr. Brandon and Mr. Kanna's warm gestures. Please convey my sincere thanks and best wishes to Mr. Brandon and Mr. Kanna, for their warm gestures. The act of Mr. Brandon had left a lasting impression on me and I would dare say that both Mr. Brandon and Mr. Kanna are truly an asset to M Hotel Singapore. Mr. Brandon went out of his way to assist me while Mr. Kanna made my stay memorable. Kudos to M Hotel Singapore and the question as to whether I would recommend my friends and family to have a stay at M Hotel Singapore, is a definite yes, even if it was only for one night!! Any stay at M Hotel Singapore would be a memorable stay!! ** I look forward to my stay again at M Hotel Singapore soon!!
