The Champs Elysees Mac Mahon Hotel is located on the right Bank of the Seine in Paris 17th district. At the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, in one of Paris' most prestigious district, the Mac-Mahon Champs Elysees Hotel welcomes you in an Empire revisited. The hotel enjoys an exceptional setting a few steps from the Place de l’Etoile and the Champs Elysees Avenue and is surrounded by beautiful Paris Haussmann buildings from Napoleon III's reign.
Comment of S. Simon , Germany the 2015-01-14
"Very disappointed this time"
This was my second time to stay in this hotel and probably the last time. Last October, I booked a suite, and I arrived as early as around 9am, I knew it was too early to get a room, a lady at the front desk kindly asked me to come back at around 11am, and tried her best to find a room for me. This time, I knew I would landed in the airport early as usual, so I wrote to the hotel in advance to request for an early check-in as I booked the room. I arrived at the hotel at around 9:30am, and as I approached the front desk, the staff at the said to me, "check-in' too early now!" Had I not knew it was too early, i woundn't have written in advance. It sounded like I shouldn't have walked in that early. I was tired and hungry, I just wanted to have a place to leave my luggage first, and actually I could pay for an early chkek-in if necessary, because i really need a shower before my work. After I asked if I could complete the document first and deposit my luggage, the man helped me , but told me not to come back until 2pm. He also told me, if I was desperate, I could come back at 1pm to see if I was lucky. After I walked for a few hours on the street, I was cold and hungry, so I decided to buy some lunch and walked back to the hotel at 1pm to try my luck. Obviously, I was not lucky enough that day, i was told to wait for another hour. I had no choice but to sit in front of arc de triomphe to finish my lunch. Unfortunately, it started to rain as i was nearly finished with my lunch........ I am very surprised this is the service from a 5 star hotel. I do understand the usual check-in time is 2-3pm, but I didn't ask for an early check-in for free! If an early check-in was not important for me, I woundn't have to write in advance. If I had known I have to wait for nearly 5 hours to get a room, I wouldn't have booked this hotel. As a matter of fact, as I was walking in the neighborhood, I found a new and beautiful hotel call Napolean, which was right 2 blocks away, and for the similar price that i booked a suite here, I would rather choose a newer and a more beautiful hotel to get a similar room in a newer hotel. Most importantly, they had a room for me to check in early!!!!! By the way, I expected a 5-star hotel room is equipped with a shoehorn in the room, but obviously i was wrong again. i should have brought one to travel with me. Anyway, i don't think the money I paid was right for the quality I got. But thanks to the hours of walk, I found a choice for next time
"Great Hotel and very nice Staff"
Very well located hotel 1 block from the arc, champs elysees avenue and subway station, 3 blocks from the city tour bus stop and just 50 meters from the buses from/to the airport. Many restaurants close by. Very clean and trendy room decoration. Bilingual Staff very nice, friendly and educated. I was impressed by their service and kindness specially from Fran and Stephanie, we had a medical emergency and they were more than helpful with us to get medical attention they were very concerned, kind and took care of us, we didn't expect to get to know such great people.
An amazing boutique hotel in the middle of Paris!!!! First the location is great and only 5 min walk to the Arc de Triomphe and the beginning of the Champs Élysées. My room was wonderful!!! Very modern, very chic and large compared to other Parisian hotels. The most thing I loved was the toilet lol top technology seat with heating facility also a water spray that automatically starts with a press of a button lol. The painted walls and ceiling makes the room even nicer with the modern red crystal chandelier and the wall appliqués. The furniture is really modern and comfortable as well. I really liked the style of the whole hotel and especially the breakfast area where you can see a huge rhino head hanging in the middle of the wall. Very friendly staff and very convenient atmosphere. I loved this hotel a lot and will definitely stay in it again and again.
As 5 star hotel you expect gd service consearge also big bathrooms but you will be surprised in this hotel the bathroom are tiny not even small 😂😂 and thats funny you shower in the same place you do your nature call only glass partition stands there. The service to bad i have requested for an adabture and i have received it after one hour and after calling them 5 times. Employees have a bad attitude really was very bad experience the only funny and nice thing was the mirror above the bed .
"Great place in a great location"
The room was modern, clean and with everything you'd expect. The decor is quirky but fun. The hotel is right on the arc de triomphe so is perfectly located for visiting the sights. The staff were friendly and helpful
