"Excellent value of money"
I booked this hotel because of its proximity to masjid ul haram. Later, when I read comments of peoples, I become a bit anxious due to lot of negative comments. But, now, I can say that all those negative remarks were wrong. There is smooth passage from entrance to reception to room with everything being perfect. Yes, we have to change 2 lifts going/coming to Kaaba, but actually serves well in distributing travelers load; its very good management plan. Further, the speed of lift is OK, its not that slow that peoples complain for it. Room make up service is excellent. Every time, they responded in time & appropriately. The cleaning, bed sheet changing, supply of tea bags, drinking water & toiletries were as required. They supply us daily extra bed sheets & blankets as we have extra kids. The prayer area within the hotel is an added advantage, so if one is running short of time to catch Jamaat, he/she can join jamaat here with beautiful view of Kaaba. Buffet breakfast is excellent offering lot of varieties for every kind peoples. The only negative we experience is at the departure. We hire a rental transport for airport drop off & it needs security clearance at the outer gate. We informed for this at the inner gate but the staff there failed to communicate with outer gate, with the result that we have to hire another taxi at an extra charge.
"Excellent hotel, except for elevators"
The Fairmont in Makkah is true luxury. They have maintained this hotel very well. The customer service is superb. The location across from the king Abdul Aziz gate is convenient. The buffet breakfast and restaurant are excellent. Rooms are spacious. However, one reason why I may choose an alternative like Hilton suites, Marriott, Conrad next time is because of the hassle with their elevators. Firstly, you have to take two separate elevators to get to your room - one from mall to hotel lobby, then lobby to room. Second, the elevators are quite deep and so took have to walk a fair distance to get to he haram, considering that you are in the clock tower. Thirds, they only have 1/2 their elevators in operation. So at peak times, elevators are jam packed and it is difficult to get onto the elevator - frustrating when you're trying to get to prayer on time. If not for the elevator issue this would be the ideal hotel in Makkah.
Nice hotel, close to Haram although market hall make it far for old people but can be manage, market below make fast shopping easy, accommodation comfortable BUT Slow at service , very slow No free internet , Oh My God Not very clean
i don't know how to start or from where, the Hotel location is really great, the room view was over looking Kabba, with the greatest view the one can imagine, for the room itself, it was very clean and very well furnished, during check in/ out, it was the best and fastest service I ever had so far in all hotels i visited, I really would like to thank precipitation team for their help, the restaurant which overlooking Haram, is really great location with great breakfast buffet which suitable for all different tastes, my only concern was related to the housekeeping, service was less than expected, i had to ask to get the room cleaned, also i don't know if my note is correct, but I had a feeling that housekeeping crew is less than the work load, at the end I really wold like to thank the Hotel team for the great hospitality and looking forward for my next visit.
"The Best Hotel in Makkah for location, Kaaba view, comfort and its great staff"
The nearest hotel to Haram, full view of Kaaba from its prayer area and most of rooms, comfort, cleanses, food in its restaurants and on top of all it's great staff makes it the best hotel of Makkah. This opinion is based on my stays with almost all the nearby hotels in past. Special mentions to thank for their kind support and assistance to make my stay a very special one to remember for long time - starting from Ridhwan Mohamed for booking, Arwa Alahmadi to ensure the best room available, welcome fruit, Arabic Ghawa dates, sweets plenty of drinking water, breakfast at 29th floor restaurant and constant inquiry by her staff and herself for any thing more to make the stay more comfortable. Thank you Arwa and last but not the least Chief Concierge - Imran Khan - who printed the boarding cards with smile. Special thanks to Ramy Kamel - the man responsible for taking care of GCC corporate staff - who ensures the fine details are met from bookings to discount and special attention during stay. I advise all to become free member of Fairmont President Club to be eligible for special check-ins, late check-outs, upgrades and rate discounts. My recommendation to all my Saudi Aramco Colleagues to stay in Fairmont for their personal and business visit and avail special Corporate discount rates. Please contact Mr. Ramy Kamel (Ramy.Kamel@fairmont.com) and he will ensure you have a memorable value for money fully pampered stay.
