Sadly this hotel disappointed me, the décor is drab the hallways are painted deep purple to be precise, the room was small and fairly cramped. I didn't feel this hotel was good value for money and vastly overpriced for the facilities they offer. The Continental breakfast which was included in the price. after helping ourselves to cereal we then had to wait over 15 min for our Coffee and toast, this arrived cold. If your expecting to chill out in the bar then you will be mistaken it isn't inviting, no british beers and expensive too. I will state that I wont be returning to this hotel.
"Comfortable and Efficient "
Modern hotel with typically Malmaison style subdued lighting (i.e. dark). Reception was efficient and welcoming. The room had a great view and was generously proportioned. Shower great, bed comfortable. We had 2 good nights sleep. The bar and the mini bar items were very expensive. Parking for the 48 hours cost £30. Would stay again.
"Weekend holiday "
Good hotel, Clean, tidy, comfortable and good located... However A lot expensive on weekends... It is near to the Beatles street, where the bars are, I had a river view which is really nice.. The bed is king size and the bath very clean, but the hot water in the shower didn't work properly, considering the price I paid for my double room... It is a good hotel though... Recommended
"Great hotel but not perfect"
We stayed at the hotel on 25th October 2016 in room 620. The room was a great size with a lovely view over the docks. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them. The room had few issues which we felt should of been delta with before guests arrived, there was a light bulb out in our room entrance which wasn't helpful as the room are designed to be dark and also the curtain was coming off its rail. The 2 main complaints were that there was no door stop in the bathroom and unless you shut the door completely it would bang into the bath and the other which was the worse I've ever experienced in a hotel was from 6am the water system which was our alarm call. The pipes were were gushing water above the air conditioning vent which then made a lot of noise in the room, this continued till 9 am. Having said the above the location of the hotel is great to get around liverpool and staff were friendly.
"Hoping someone can help'"
We have stayed many times at the mal . We stayed on the 10th October for one night in room 423. After leaving the hotel , days later , I realised I'd left jewellery in the room safe . I have contacted the hotel over a period of many days now... They have no record of any items being handed in or found. I am now asking anyone who stayed in the room from 11th October and possibly found my jewellery to return it to the hotel. . Many of the items were my late mothers , and have sentimental value to me including her eternity ring, I am hoping that an honest person comes forward and returns my jewellery pouch in the next day or two. I will be involving the police who will trace the people who occupied the room after I did . I am totally shocked that the staff did not firstly find this and report it as a left item in the room or if a member of the public found this ...has not handed it to the reception. I thought the rooms and safes were cleaned and checked after each stay...how can something as valuable as this be missed by the housekeeping' It's theft ...and dishonest. I am totally devastated .im hoping someone will be honest and return all items . If you can help ..please contact the hotel.
