"Wow just wow!!"
I booked this hotel for my college age daughter and her friend traveling economically through Europe. Just a few days prior my daughter had her purse stolen on a night train in Austria. Reeling from that experience and the passport recovery process, I opted to put them up for the night in a hotel in Budapest! Wow! They "face timed" me just so they could show off the room. By far and wide one of the most spectacular hotels ever. Service was impeccable and staff was friendly to 2 American girls traveling on their own. Love love love their experience there and the price was incredible. $64 US. We want to book a family vacation there based on this hotel experience alone!
Lovely hotel, the rooms were very clean. Very close to hero's square and approx 30-40 minute walk to Danube. Staff in reception very helpful. Disappointed that couldn't sit in bar for drinks, we had to sit in the reception area even though there are sofas in the restaurant. Budapest zoo is a very short distance away and worth a look with excellent value for money. In all a lovely stay.
"City break "
Hotel and rooms beautiful - quite a walk from river - thinnest smallest bath towels (my pet hate) and no complimentary refreshments in room (kettle from reception if one available) seems mean spirited - fully loaded minibar of course - have to say I'm slightly disappointed and probably would not come again when there are so many hotels to choose from
"Good hotel close to metro"
A boutique hotel 5 minutes walk from the Metro. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was good size with big bathroom and balcony for smokers. Very modern and clean. Breakfast catered for wide range of tastes and was the usual self-service though the scrambled egg looked somewhat dried out on the 3 days we were there. Restaurant was modern and pleasant but menu and beverages were a bit over-priced - better value can be obtained in town. Disappointed that chipped crockery was still in use at breakfast. Lifts arrived promptly.
Had read the reviews for this hotel, which were good. It was a little way out of the main parts of the city, a 30/40 minute walk to the Danube. However, I have been overwhelmed by the professional staff and cleanliness of the hotel. We were upgraded to the Ambassador Suite, which was a great surprise to my partner as it made his 40th birthday even better. The restaurant is great, again the staff are extremely professional and very polite. Food was very nice. There is a lovely park a few minutes walk from Heroes Square, with a few restaurants and bars not far away. Special thanks to Peter at the hotel, who was most helpful and answered all my email enquiries prior to us going to Budapest. A great experience, would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
