We got a suite, really big and comfy bed, maybe I would have decorated it better, bathroom not so big but useful, I would recommend them to have a closer look around because there are a few things that need to be repaired. Staff is really friendly, but there were a few issues when we needed to ask them directions or places to visited, it took too much time and at the end we had to find it by ourselves...still a "yes" if you want a great view from your room and you like to wander around the city, Charles Bridge only 200mt away.
"Beautiful, charismatic hotel in perfect location"
Pachtuv Palce is not just a hotel, its a real experience! Admittedly we had to climb 41 steps to our room on the top floor but what a suite of rooms we had. The lounge area was enormous, beautifully furnished although there was rather a lot of very low beams which was a bit hazardous! The bedroom was equally amazing. Location is great, on the edge of the river and Charles Bridge and easy walk to the Old Town Square and Christmas Markets The included breakfast was somewhat basic although for axtra the eggs benedict was excellent! The restaurant was very good and the mushroom soup was unbelievable! The chef guards the recipe very well, sadly. Overall, we loved our stay and look forward to returning
"Lovely hotel, fantastic location"
I stayed here with my husband for three nights from the 25-28th Nov. We booked and paid for a deluxe room with continental breakfast through last minute.com. Excellent service upon our arrival, with all the staff making you feel really welcome. Speedy check in, and shown to our beautiful room. It doesn't look much from the outside, but it is beautiful once you step through the court yard doors. The room itself was large with a comfy king size four poster bed. It had a Duvet and fluffy pillows, and was lovely to snuggle in after a cold day. Flat screen TV. The room was lovely and warm, each radiator had a thermostat. I found it odd there were no smoke alarms given the kitchenettes' Or at least I couldn't see any. Separate bathroom and toilet, nicely decorated. Deep, long bath. Full size bottles of LOcctaine products provided, shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. No hair conditioner but I knew this from reading a previous review. There was also a little kitchen, with mini bar, Nespresso, kettle, sink and a double hob. The little kitchen seemed a nice touch at first but totally redundant as no utensils or kitchen amenities. The cups were espresso ones so no good for tea or a decent sized coffee, however I am sure had I asked for cups they would have provided them. It really was a beautiful room and we were very pleased with our stay. The only drawback for our room was it's location. The alley next to our room was a cut through for noisy groups all night long. We could also here the club music all night and the bottle bank, bin men and every other noise you get where there are bars, restaurants etc. The windows were quite good at shutting most of the noise but we needed some fresh air in. Sadly I had 3 bad nights as a result and we had no view at all. Just walls. Shame. Continental breakfast is a basket of bread and a croissant each. Jam and butter. A cup tea or coffee. It was nice, but not really continental. However they have a good breakfast menu which is good value so we topped up breakfast with that. Oatmeal was delicious as were the eggs. I would definitely go back, we really loved it. Id want a room away from the noise and with a view next time.
"The restaurant is tremendous "
I stayed in a flat across the street and stumbled upon this little restaurant/cafe. Delicious. They had a full breakfast which k missed most mornings but I know it must be good because people were asking for it upon arrival. They feature two soups of the day as a starter, so fresh and homemade. They serve a Foie gras spread instead of butter which was tasty. They also have light salads of the day. I opted for the one with lentils and baked pumpkin on greens. The table next to me had a Cesar salad that looked amazing with a poached egg on top. I overheard two locals who said they eat lunch there every day.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Prague! Not only is the location massively convenient to all the touristy spots, the hotel itself is stunning. Our room was really spacious with a sedate sitting area. High quality products provided in the bathroom and the shower and bath great! Slightly disappointed that there was only one channel in English on the TV but who cares when your in the centre of Prague! Breakfast of just a single croissant was also a bit lame but you had the option to buy extras. Martin who picked us up from the airport was wonderful and other staff friendly! Would highly recommend in keeping with the feeling of Prague rather than choosing a chain hotel! My husbands birthday here was magical!
