"Grand Hyatt San Diego"
Great views, very good sized rooms, and very friendly and helpful staff. Check in was smooth, and very accommodating. Very good location, easy walking distance to shops, and close, but not to close, to airport. Nice pool and deck area. Would definitely stay here again.
"Very nice hotel in great location "
I was at this hotel for a convention in mid April. The room was very nice with a great view of Seaport Village and the USS Midway. I did have some issues with the room including a temperamental TV and a blind that broke but the staff made amends. The lobby area is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. The staff was eager to please their guests. The pool area is great and located on the fourth floor between the two towers. Unfortunately it was not usable most of the time I was there due to some cleaning. They did have another pool open but it wasn't quite as large. Location wise they back up to the Seaport Village with a myriad of shops and restaurants. In addition it is about a five minute walk to the Gaslamp District, Padres Stadium, and Midway. This would be a place I would stay again
This Hyatt is true to brand. It on the marina/Seaport Village, next to the San Diego Convention Center, and an easy walk to the Gaslamp district. The hotel conference facilities are great, but the pool and fitness center is even better.
"Finally a hotel that got it RIGHT"
Wow, beautiful hotel. Most comfortable bed and pillows. It was finally nice to see a hotel that got the lighting right in the bathroom! Great for putting on makeup and a added bonus of a make up mirror. Which isn't unusual but a bonus. Staff was always helpful too. Lots of great restaurants inside and short walk from the hotel. Walked over to the USS Midway museum on my 2 hour lunch break. Not enough time to see it all. Walked back over that night to eat dinner with friends at the Fish Market and see the Bob Hope Memorial. Weather was AMAZING here in San Diego but don't forget to pack a light jacket.
This massive property is very impressive. Check in was a breeze, room is spacious with great amenities (love free bottled water!!) and is very clean. The only downside is expensive parking - $35/day for self park and $50 for valet. This is more than we're paying for our rental :) lots of shopping and dining options onsite and nearby.
