The hotel was in an ideal location for Manchester Arena and all the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were all very friendly and made our stay feel special.Comment of G. Raj , United Kingdom the 2014-11-20
Lovely hotel very clean and friendly , nice breakfast , only problem we found was that the room wasn't very warm and we were cold during the night so maybe a little heater in the rooms would be a good idea we stayed in room 411
"Beautiful hotel, night menu is a total disappointment "
Have stayed here a few times and the place is absolutely beautiful. The beds are so comfortable and the room decor is so authentic. The only issue I have had this particular visit is after arriving a few hours later than I had planned due to unforeseen circumstances, when trying to order from the night menu being told that they didn't have this or that. For a hotel that looks to be set up for quite business orientated guests this seems a little baffling to a) not have food that seems upto scratch with the price you pay b) be told that they have only limited amounts of it left
Very inviting hotel. Mix of elegance, comfort and funky environment in public spaces and in bedroom relaxing, calming space which has remained true to the original building. Everywhere very clean. Staff excellent throughout, welcoming, efficient, and clearly well aware of how to treat guests correctly. Bar staff were particularly good, wish I had made a note of names, but they were all really good, really noticed that when we couldn't be served immediately (only one person ahead of us) we were acknowledged that we would be served as soon as they could.
"The best hotel we've stayed in, in a long time."
There was valet parking which was a bonus, and knowing our car was safe and secure during our stay was good. Walking into the hotel which is two converted warehouses, was a wow! Superb. Full of character. The check in with Jana was excellent. She was very friendly, helpful and informative. There was a room ready for us despite us checking in early. The room was wonderful. Full of character and cozy, relaxing feel to it. Large bed, low beams, comfy chair. Everything you could need in a room. At night we sat in the lounge/bar area. I was so relaxed. It's such a great place to chill. The service was good. We'd had lunch there too and it was really nice. Breakfast was great too with a large choice of things to eat. On check out, we were dealt with by Thomas. Such a friendly guy. So helpful. Our car was ready and waiting out front, but we were allowed to leave it there whilst we went to the local museum. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Superb service. One of best hotels I've stayed in, in a long time. My only picky things, pillows too soft; building work going on across the river which our room looked over, but only a faint noise heard in the morning. If you are above 5ft 10, the shower is quite low, as renovated building and low ceiling in the bathroom.
This was a one night stay for a theatre trip. We were not disappointed. The room and the facilities were superb. The staff could not be helpful enough. The breakfast was good too. Only issue came when we lost TV signal and missed the end of a program we were watching. All in all excellent.
