The hotel was in an ideal location for Manchester Arena and all the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were all very friendly and made our stay feel special.Comment of G. Raj , United Kingdom the 2014-11-20
Really enjoyed stay lovely hotel in good location. Booked room only and excellent value at 70 for standard of hotel. Reception staff very friendly and helpful but bar staff a little less so didn't dine here but seemed to be busy with food for a Sunday night will definitely stay here again if in Manchester
"Home from home!"
I stayed here for a grand total of 107 nights (no that's not a typo!) between July and October 2016 after being left homeless following a house fire and I can honestly say that I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay during this difficult period. The hotel is well maintained, clean and, most importantly, the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly as well as maintaining a true professionalism throughout. I must specifically mention the trio of Regina, Yana and Stanislav, who genuinely did make my stay as comfortable as it possibly could have been and really did make it feel like a home from home. At breakfast I was always incredibly well catered for, with the ever professional Bart always on hand and Tommy's barista talents on show for all to see. Fabio, part of the management team, ensured my stay went without hitches from start to finish. I was even presented with a cake and card on my birthday thanks to the generosity and kindness of Stan and Regina! Those wanting to stay in the city centre, close to shops, bars and restaurants, really need look no further than this hotel if you're looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay, whether your reason for visiting is business or pleasure. I cannot fault the way I was looked after during my long stay and would like to extend my genuine thanks to everyone at the hotel.
"Just love this hotel!!!!"
This was our 3rd time at the V & A, I absolutely love this hotel, it's always a pleasure from check in to check out. This time we got the train, got the free bus from Picadilly and it dropped us just up the street very close to Coronation St (the original). We took the bags, thinking we'd leave them and come back later to check in. Amazed when a room was available. The room as ever was gorgeous, king size bed, sitting area with sofa & chair and large flatscreen TV, nice bathroom. More than happy. The room was so comfortable, had to drag myself away, after all we come to Manchester for a reason, to Eat, Drink & Shop!!!! Lovely, friendly staff on reception, in fact in every area. Breakfast pretty decent as always, although Saturday's was a late one as I couldn't drag myself out of the fabulous comfy bed. Had a lovely weekend, even the weather held out for us and we managed to get a sneaky drink sat outside The Wharf, 5 mins walk away, in the bright autumn sun. Went out for dinner and returned to the big comfy leather sofas in the lounge for a nightcap before turning in, we did this both nights. All in all another fantastic stay at the Victoria & Albert. I love this hotel, I love it's character its class and it's comfort, just a nice place to be.
"Would recommend "
I stayed here overnight during a recent business trip after my usual hotel of first choice in Manchester was fully booked. I was upgraded to a deluxe room upon arrival which I was very pleased with. Breakfast provided was of a high standard. Only issue was the wifi which you had to purchase by the hour.
On arrival the hotel staff were very helpful, from the concierge looking after the car to the check in staff. Room was excellent, great facilities and very cosy. The bar provided a relaxing environment to have a drink before we had a great meal in the restaurant. Would come back again.
