"Oozes class "
This is still a benchmark hotel the service is close to impeccable. I had a lovely view overlooking the harbour. Came in early so had a lunch at the cafe, as soon as we were close to finished our coffee, the check in staff came to the restaurant to whisk us away to our rooms. At other hotels you know you'd have to return to reception to re-explain your predicament. Complementary Jasmin tea arrived to give you that Chinese welcome. Sent suit for pressing went to the gym and hay presto there it was hanging in my cupboard. This is an iconic hotel that is both buzzy and no matter what's going on or how busy it is ....YOU are their world. Last time I came, as with all great players, they had an off day this time they were on point scoring goal after goal. One of the worlds great hotels.
Hong Kong already has an overwhelmingly impressive standard for 5-Star Hotels, but I personally find that, for me, the Mandarin wins the most criterion. The History of the place, the service, the ambience and the quality of the food separate it from the others. Perfect location on HK Island. Airport services are very good, if chosen to use their transfers. After staying at most of the other 5-star hotels in HK, I will always return to the mandarin based on the atmosphere and energy in all of the hotel's areas. MO has a real style and sensibility. Overall, a flawless experience and always has been.
"Still the best of the best"
Our third visit to the MO. Such a relief to be greeted so warmly by the Manager and to, once again, be enveloped by the MO charmed service and glorious, thoughtful hospitality. And the service remains discreet and almost imperceptible - just the way excellent service should be. Our suite on the nineteenth floor has beautiful views over the Harbour and is phenomenally well designed and equipped. I love the way in which, when the room is serviced, you find all sort of tiny extras - a bookmark at your turned page in your book, the sunglasses cleaner left under your shades...nothing loud, nothing that shouts, just "we are here and we noticed that you need something you didn't know that you needed". I don't look forward to leaving and I look forward to coming back. Every hotel should be like this.
"first class service..."
As soon as we landed from our flight, we were immediately met by one of the staff from the hotel who guided us through customs and helped us retrieve our luggage. The hotel car (MB S class) was waiting at a special exit to take us to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the doorman greeted us by name and we were shown to our room. We stayed in a suite which was spacious and child-proof (the sharp corners of all the tables and desks were wrapped so our toddler would not have any injuries). While the rest of the hotel had a vintage, classic (aka old fashion) ambiance, our room was sleek and modern. However, the view wasn't as stunning but we could see a glimpse of the harbor. The toiletries were Hermes. Each time we exited or entered the hotel, the staff greeted us by our name. I would highly recommend Man Wah which has a great view (compared to the room) and possibly the best dim sum ever.
"A Great Hotel"
A great hotel in the Central area. Near to the financial business district. Very accessible and MTR station is just right outside the hotel. Service was great. The food was good too. Pleasant experience. Keep up the good work!
