The Marmara Hotel Budapest is at the centre of the city, on Nagy Ignac Street and is next door to the famous Nagykörút (Grand Boulevard). From this convenient location, guests can explore all of the sights that Budapest has to offer. The Parliament Buildings, St. Stephen’s Basilica and Margaret Island are just a few of the attractions close to the hotel. Budapest also has a thriving museum collection, or one can simply take a stroll around the unique shops and boutiques, relax with a coffee in a café or snuggle up to delicious food in a cozy restaurant in the city centre.

Very nice hotel, great location! You can get anywhere by foot. Breakfast was good. Room was nice but small. Little loud during the night, but I guess it is because of the great location - center of the city.
On arrival to this hotel the staff were very friendly and took or bags, check in was relatively quick and we got shown to our rooms with all information about breakfast given on the way. On arrival to the room there is no looking past the fact the rooms are very small, the air con just isn't powerful at all and during the nights the rooms got so hot so we had to open windows which left us with a lot of street noise. Breakfast was okay, it's served until 10am. But only hot foods are sausages, bacon and paprika coated fried chips, which i found quite odd. However the pastries were very nice. The breakfast room is bright and does get busy but there was always seating. However again, the room was so hot that one morning we couldn't even eat it was so warm in there. The staff were really helpful with directions and knowledgeable about local attraction, in fact the staff were the best part about this hotel and they deserve to be thanked. Check out was quick and they held our bags there free of charge for a few hours which was great. The only one big bad point I will say, the taxi the hotel booked for us to the airport. The taxi man was so rude and didn't speak to us at all. But worst of all, he drove like a complete idiot. Speeding up behind cars, where he got so close to them he was slamming on his brakes, beeping the horn angrily then diving not into the other lane cutting up other cars which was were beeping us. I've never ever felt so unsafe in a vehicle!! It was honestly terrifying and I felt so uncomfortable the whole time. I really suggest you get your own taxi to the airport! I would stay in this hotel again on my next visit to budapest, but I'd try for a bigger room and wouldn't get breakfast included. And I'd be booking my own way to the airport!

My friend and I recently stayed at the hotel Marmara. We were greeted at reception without a welcome or a smile. The bell boy just stood and watched us with our luggage. He was miserable and unhelpful. The room we had was nice, clean and tidy, new bedding and towels each day. But there was no tea and coffee maker in room as advertised, also they do not offer room service but they advertise they do. Which is disappointing as they don't serve any afternoon or evening meals. Most of the cooked breakfast items were cold and poor selection. The hotel is definitely not a 4*, iv stayed in 3* hotels before which are much better in many ways. A member of staff from the bar who spoke very good English, was very helpful, kind and professional. The other members of staff seemed miserable and quiet and bored. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel, there are many better hotels in better locations in Budapest.

A clean and attractive hotel, very central. Comfortable rooms where everything worked, no technical defects. Friendly and service minded staff always available for questions e.g. recommendation of restaurants, tourist attractions or book a taxi. The breakfast was varied, fresh bread. However, the quality of the coffee and juice was bad.
"Love this hotel "
It's not the most luxurious hotel we've stayed in yet we've stayed at this hotel twice now and can't fault it especially for the price! Good location, nice rooms, lovely buffet breakfast, possibly some of the nicest staff I've come across on a city break and really excellent value. Would most definitely recommend, suitable for couples and families.
