"So relaxing every time!"
We don't travel much, but every year my husband and I head to Cambridge and Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta for a weekend away and to compete in the regatta. The last three years we have had the great pleasure of staying at this hotel. They have provided anything we requested, from a quiet room to a mini fridge for baby bottles. The front desk is efficient and friendly, the hotel rooms are quiet and very well kept, and there are plenty of coffee shops and breakfast places making it easy to get ready and head out to the races for the day. This year was an even better experience than the last two, so I wanted to share that positive feedback here.
"Good Service - Great Location"
It's a full service Marriott that lives up to the expectations of this chain hotel. Upon early check (11 am) I was greeted by a friendly front desk official, who when asked, gave a comprehensive overview of the neighborhood and things to do during down time. His recommendation for a local farm-to-table pizza establishment was right on target and I visited there twice for the food and atmosphere. Easy walking distance to MIT and right across the street from the Red Line " T" made it easy to get around. My room was comfortable and clean. Nice week-plus stay and I would use them again.
"What a great location!"
Moved my reservation from downtown Boston two days before going to Boston because we could save some money with this location and boy were we glad we did. We loved the location. It was just steps from the subway entrance and had a great view of downtown and the river. We even saw fireworks one night from our room over teh city.
"Solid choice in Kendall Square"
All the comfort and competence you expect in a big city Marriott. Across the street from the Kendall Square T station, right next to MIT campus; 2 short T stops from Harvard. [prices here are often cheaper than staying closer to Harvard] Many restaurants, both fast food & sit down, within 2-3 blocks, as well as the MIT Coop.
"Amazing view "
A family of 5 (kids 11,17,18) 2 nights stay, for Boston and Harvard sightseeing. Got a free upgrade to top floor room (2604) with a incredible view over the river and city of Boston. Friendly staff. A noisy party next door on the second night but we didn't bother to complain. Not to many eating opportunities nearby and room service was not the best. Most rooms have great view because of the low buildings surrounding this hotel. Definitely a great place to stay.
