"very pretty resort"
stayed in a 2 bedroom updated suite, building 63, ground floor. Front staff very friendly. Room clean and well kept. Master bedroom large with big Jacuzzi tub. Had to call maintenance once-very punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. Grounds are gorgeous. Pool areas very nice. My teens loved the sporting area. Activities are a little disappointing. Bar tenders are rude. Enjoyed a massage at the spa and relaxed in the serenity garden afterwards. Would definitely stay here again.
"Beautiful view to see first thing in the morning"
The two bedroom villas are well designed and spacious. For those who rather not walk a far distance to the lobby opt to stay on the ground floor Villa 52 which is the closest. Villas 51 and 50 aren't too bad an option either. The staff are helpful and pleasant - the Bar tender at the pool bar is particularly attentive and the marketplace staff are super friendly as well. It was a very comfortable stay. I had one issue with the tone and volume of the voice of a concierge staff member but after speaking with him he apologized and adjusted which allowed for an acceptable manner of exchange of information. Suffice it to say that the staff are responsive and eager to ensure your stay is a good one - hence 5 stars. I would stay here again.
"Marriott = Great Place to stay"
We started to stay at this location some 20 years ago, and other than the golf course which surrounded the location (though not owned by), little has changed. I cannot begin to total the number of weeks we have spent here. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. We were here last December for a couple of weeks, we are here now for three weeks and we will be back In mid-January for three more weeks. My wife and I (56 years) drive down and most of the time just enjoy the property. I just read the three reviews in the sidebar and they pretty much tell it all. I'll be 80 before I return in January and the only thing not mentioned in the three reviews is perhaps my favorite feature. They have the finest fitness center of any timeshare property I have stayed at (95% Marriott). The only one that comes close is the one at Myrtle Beach (Ocean Watch), we spent five weeks there in 2016 and have four weeks scheduled there (2 before our Cypress weeks) and two after. In Jan, Feb and Mar, Myrtle has the ocean beach and indoor pool (besides outdoor pools - heated), but is cold when compared to here. But walking the beach is the only thing that is better than Cypress. As you can guess we are sold on Marriott and how we have been able to parlay our one week of ownership into so much time using Interval International. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that retirement would be so enjoyable.
"Great place to stay"
My wife, 10 year old daughter and I stayed at Cypress Harbour for 2 weeks from November 4-18 in a 2 bedroom villa. Even though we did not arrive until around 1:00am the front desk staff was typical Marriott; very friendly and helpful. I had requested a room in building 56 but because they were full we were in building 69. They were willing to move us when they could, but after we checked out the room we decided that we wanted to stay where we were. We were on the third floor with a nice view of a marshy pond area, it was very quiet, and we could often hear birds singing in the morning. It was about a 5 minute walk to the nearest pool, which we used often, but the grounds are beautiful and very well kept so it was a nice walk. All 3 of the pools are very nice and clean and it was never a problem to find lounge chairs. The villa we were in was 6931, a corner unit, and it was clean and very well appointed. It had everything we needed and we cooked several meals in the villa and at the nearby BBQ. The resort is in a great location close to Disney, Universal, and the outlet mall. There are also lots of restaurants and grocery stores close by. We did eat at the restaurant on site where the food is good and reasonably priced, and the ice cream at the Market Place is really good. Like all Marriott vacation club resorts they have lots of activities for kids and adults every day. We went to the ice cream social, and my wife and daughter did necklace making and scented candle making and they had a great time. There are lots of different games to play at the Lake House and we spent lots of time playing shuffle board and ping pong there. Every staff member you see will always wave or say hello, and they will all do anything they can to help you or answer any questions you might have. We are owners at Grande Vista and this was our first visit to Cypress Harbour, but we will definitely be coming back.
