"Good City Centre Hotel"
Stayed here for one night midweek. Selected the marriot as we had been gifted a spa break at the hotel. We booked in online and had a smooth reception on arrival. The room was large and clean but a bit dated. Could have done with a fridge. We ate out so can't comment on the evening meal however the bar staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice quiet sleep led onto a great breakfast with special thanks to chantelle on breakfast staff who was very helpful and accommodating. With a bit of a face-lift would be five stars. Oh and parking right next door is a real bonus !
"Expensive, noisy but good friendly staff"
Stayed for business and for partner to relax, see sights and shop. Online booking good, check in good, staff very nice, room poor to okish but noisy as room was right facing bus stops. Couldn't concentrate in room or lounge but have done previously when it was obviously quieter. Couldn't sit in bar lounge, other than once, as overun with noisy room hogging crowd and not enough decent seating as was on a previous visit. Would not have booked if known it was a party place. Ridiculous for 4.5 star hotel. However, breakfast set us up for the day. Would we go back' Would avoid or ask if large noisy groups or celebrations overtaking bar were booked in. Expect better and more courtesy from Marriott brand. Need to address clientele or behavior.
Lovely hotel just across the street from lime street train station. 10 of us stayed here lovely clean rooms, nice hot breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice quiet hotel walking distance to all the shops and bars no need to take taxi anywhere.
I have visited Liverpool many times in the past year and stayed in a variety of hotels. This was by far the worst and by far the most expensive. From first to last this was poor, outdated and not particularly clean. The bar was small and unattractive with a strange spray through the air system which was particularly offensive. The room was very small and very old fashioned with towels that had been washed so often that they were not fit for purpose. The shower curtain and fittings in the old fashioned shower had seen better days! Breakfast was seriously average and my chair in the breakfast room had food on from a previous occupant. When I wiped in the cloth was extremely dirty! The hotel was expensive compared with others in the town - £220+ FOR A DOUBLE ROOM AND WIFI WAS CHARGEABLE ON TOP! Marriott hotels are generally of a good standard and I relied on this to my detriment. I do not recommend this hotel and suggest to Marriott that they refurbish it immediately, sell it or rebuild an acceptable property on the site.
Was a good experience with this hotel. Location very accesible for different atractions of the city. Clean and spacious room and the service team very kind in the restaurant and front desk. Good food menu, presentations and plentiful. Good place to stay in Liverpool
