"Helpful Staff in Adverse Conditions"
We arrived at the hotel on a chilly, rainy Wednesday following an overnight flight and train journey and were informed that there was no hot water or heat due to a boiler problem. This was an inauspicious beginning to a wonderful stay. During check in, I mentioned that I had difficulty booking a Beatles tour. The young lady at the front desk, Andreea I believe her name was, offered to contact the tour company to book this tour for us. Despite being told that the tour was sold out, she used her excellent skills of persuasion to secure us a spot on the tour the following day. The hotel provided us with a space heater, which went a long way in compensating for the lack of central heating. By evening the hot water was restored, and by morning the heat. The hotel is conveniently located by Lime Street Station and also by Liverpool's main shopping district, so we were able to walk nearly everywhere. In the end, we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel and would stay there again.
"OK but a bit tired around the edges"
perfectly adequate hotel located centrally and very convenient for Lime St Station. Room was OK but like the hotel looked like it was due a good refresh. Considering the prices they charge they should be able to manage that a bit more frequently than they obviously do. Staff training could be better - especially in the bar - drinks knowledge on one night was virtually non-existent and we had to point out the correct bottles for our drinks. Staff were however always pleasant and overall our stay was OK.
"No complaints here!"
We stayed for 1 night in a family room. Room was lovely with 2 comfortable double beds. Staff were excellent - just the right balance of efficiency & friendliness. Breakfast was amazing with something for everyone. Would definitely stay again.
"Wonderful staff! "
I visited Thursday 1st / Friday 2nd December. I had a number of odd requirements and the staff were exceptional. I'd like to mention Michelle in particular, who was wonderful: professional, can do attitude, just exceptionally helpful. She's a star! The breakfast was wonderful. Amazing egg station! I do visit Liverpool often, and generally stay here. This recent visit reminded me of why I think it's the best place to stay in Liverpool.
"Christmas party night "
Attended a party night with my work colleagues, great value at £20 each for a 3 course meal, tea and coffee and mince pies! Then followed with a dj. The only down side was the price for drinks at the bar but is to be expected in a hotel. There was a lovely atmosphere and all the staff where really nice
