"Serious need of improvement"
Hotel ground is excellent and the rooms are clean and as of Marriott standards, however the real thing which concerned me was the service staff at the restaurant, they were not as trained as they should be for a Marriott hotel
Stayed 10 nights in October, which is my second trip here this year. The staff are consistently friendly and efficient, from reception through to the wonderful staff at the breakfast service (Olessa, Wendy and Elonora especially). Great location for exploring London between two good tube stations, Earls Court for west london, and Gloucester Road for the city.
"Great service and Concierge lounge"
Our family of four stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was average size for London and very clean. The staff provided excellent service. As Marriott members, we were fortunate to be upgraded to the concierge/executive level upon checkin. The first floor lounge was a relaxing place to come back to after a long day of walking. It was also a great place to start our morning with a light breakfast and coffee. We used the Underground and cabs extensively. There were several stations close by. There is a grocery store, restaurants and pubs nearby as well.
"My Stay - very very good"
Everything worked perfect at the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, accommodations and bedding were perfect. I am a gold member so I did visit the Executive Lounge on several occasions. This is my only negative - the lounge is very out of date and in my opinion needs modernization. A larger TV, more accessible outlets for computers, better lighting to start.
"4 Days In London"
Following a week in Oxford, England, we went to London for 4 days. I chose the Marriott in Kensington for the brand and for the proximity to things we wanted to do. We had tickets for the PROMS and wanted to visit Kensington, Hyde Park and the Victoria & Albert Museum, all within easy (even for me) walking distance. The staff at this Marriott are very friendly & helpful, they have an ample breakfast offering as well as lunch & dinner menus. Even the food from the bar menu was excellent, ample servings. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a nice shower (some may find the separate settings for temperature & water pressure a little confusing at first). Bathrooms were clean and housekeeping was excellent. While there were many hotels available for our stay, some at a lower price, I'm not one to skimp on accommodations when traveling and this Marriott was reasonably priced as far as I'm concerned (we opted for the breakfast inclusive rate). I would recommend and would stay here again if my travel plans find me back in London.
