we stayed here as we were attending a christening in hales barn .our room was lovely and clean , quiet .everything we needed ,the bed was a kingsized which we both slept well in , could have done with more tea/coffee/sugar and milk , but apart from that we had an excellent stay ,the breakfast was brilliant , help yourself to as much as you like .as we had the all inclusive breakfast . would certainly stay here again .the parking is a bit steep £11 even though we had a room .
We used this hotel the previous year before our holiday using the park and fly package which gave us an overnight stay and 15 days parking in the Marriott Hotel car park. It worked really well so this year because we were again flying from Manchester booked the same package. The previous year we had packed a seperate overnight bag which the next morning we stowed back in the car boot. This year unfortunately we found that our car would not be parked at the Marriott but at the Skypark ten minutes away which meant that we were unable to pack the items that we did not want to take away on holiday the next day in the boot of the car. It may be that the hotel now uses this option but when booking this package it may pay to ask the question will my car be parked at the Marriott or the Skypark. Hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. On arrival at our room we found that the kettle did not work. We mentioned this to the concierge who said that he would sort it out and bring a new one. Luckily we had our own travel kettle as nobody replaced the one that was broken. This was mentioned when we checked out and I must say that the girl at reception was very apologetic. The hotel is very handy for the airport and we would still use it if we were flying from Manchester.
On the 20th of October after an excellent treatment during breakfast, had a terrible one when doing the check out. Simon, the receptionist, was incredibly rude with me. He wanted to charge me the 15 pounds from the plug adaptor that I had forgotten in the room, so already getting late because of this, had to run back to the room to get it but the room had already been cleaned. The only way not to pay the 15 extra pounds was by speaking to his colleague who made him remove the fee. Nevertheless, he kept rolling his eyes when dealing with me and at last he threw me the receipt in a very rude way. Very unpleasant episode with this "gentleman".
"Wonderful for airport - Brilliant Spa"
Great connection via taxi to airport - front desk will arrange your transportation. Brilliant spa and pool, best way to spend an overnight connection! The restaurant has meals for all taste and a full bar as well as Stabucks (or equivalent coffee arrangement) Hotel was quiet, though slightly confusing arrangement and hallways.
"can't beat premier inn"
Very disappointing. After arriving late evening the rooms we requested were not available which was fine for me but not for my disabled mother who had to walk quite away to her room and down a flight of stairs, car parking £11.00 (come on that is a bit extreme) Gentleman greeting people for breakfast left one couple waiting whilst he had a drink and a chat at the bar in the room opposite. We were given a pot of tea and then left, not once did anyone come over and ask if everything was ok or if we needed more tea. There was a good choice of food for breakfast but service is poor.
