"Elegant hotel close to Red Square"
I attended a conference at this hotel over the space of 3 days. Hotel was modern, staff was attentive if somewhat aloof, restaurant/ food service was good. Conference facilities were above average and refreshments were served by hotel in a timely manner. Evening reception and dinner were held in the Trotsky room and again food was good, wine and champagne were a good quality. The one concern I had was that hotel staff were trying to push their taxi service which cost 3 times what a city taxi would cost. Always do your due diligence in Moscow when taking taxis...confirm the price before you get into a taxi. City taxis are your best bet.
"Good location; generic, uninspiring hotel"
Marriott Grand may not be "grand", but it commands a convenient location near Moscow Metro stops, premier designer stores, and walking distance to Red Square and longer stroll to Bolshoi. Our room was clean and well maintained, but neither memorable nor carefully designed. Service was at times fine; at other times, very frustrating. Restaurant was typical Marriott quality. It is a generic, international hotel that could be anywhere -- modern, safe, and convenient -- not outstanding.
"Central, Safe & Adequate"
Stayed in hotel for business Trip two weeks ago. Hotel is dated, but complete with amenities commensurate for a hotel of its size. Some of the amenities were a bit dated (gym especially) and decor needs a refresh. Compared to other higher end hotels in the area, this is very affordable, but rooms are clearly 15 years old.
"Excellent business hotel"
Excellent business hotel, 15 minute walk from Red Square and the main attractions in Moscow. Easy metro connection if that is too far for you. Don't expect super luxe, but do expect everything you need. Well maintained and very clean. Service quick, friendly and professional. Price of the hotel very much Ok, everything on top basically too expensive (as anything else in Moscow). In room dining and breakfast excellent. Tip: reserve transportation to and from the hotel via them. It is well arranged and affordable. Good choice!
"Moscow trip with sons"
When we checked in and they saw it was three men, they gave us an executive suite at no extra charge so we would have three different places to sleep (two double beds and pull out couch) - very observant and hospitable! We took the metro everywhere except one day we needed a car which the hotel arranged. Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city, great experience!
