"Lovely Hotel, Well Sited with Amazing Staff"
The check-in process was very polite and efficient too and soon, I was in my comfortable, quiet and spacious room. The room had air-conditioning, guest Wi-Fi and came with breakfast; an excellent package! The location is good. In the morning it is easy for getting to work; soon you can be on main roads and speeding towards where you want to be. It is just over a mile from Red Square and easily walkable; even in Winter. I lost my immigration card and the Marriott hotel staff, lead by their excellent Manager, Anna Firsova were instrumental in helping me obtain a replacement and all within 24 hours! And this in bureaucratic Russia; unbelievable! They provided photocopying, translation, thanks to Alina and colleagues, and Gayar, their "Mr Fix-it", came to the Police station to help me obtain a letter that I needed for the Immigration Department and provided translation (spoken and written) services for me; all free of charge. The next morning, Andrey, escorted me to the Immigration office and with 20 minutes, I had my replacement immigration card. Amazing! The Marriott Grand Hotel Moscow went way beyond what any reasonable person could call "customer service" and convinced me to seek out Marriott hotels wherever I am in the world from now on. Truly exceptional service! Goodness only knows what I would have done without Anna and her dedicated, friendly and hospitable team. I feel bad mentioning the one downside to my stay. I ate in the hotel restaurant most nights. The food is excellent and the service by the waitresses is friendly and to a high standard. However, the prices charged are painful. 450 roubles for a 330ml bottle of water (that's £6.21, $7.71, €7.26), the same price as a beer that they serve (which is twice what you'd pay in London. I realise that they have high overheads in Moscow, but other restaurants nearby, charged half the amount for the same food (grilled salmon), to the same standard. But, because of their invaluable help with my immigration card problem, I accepted it on this stay. If the food prices were more reasonable, I would say that this hotel is the perfect venue to stay at whilst on business in Moscow. You can still stay here and eat at the nearby restaurants.
"Charming Winter Days at Marriott Grand Moscow"
I really enjoyed my stay at Marriott Grand hotel in Moscow The package I got last January was so grate pricewise and services. Even I was a solo traveler but feel so comfortable. They speak English well and have great greeting attitude. I have priority club with nice and warm complementary services. The hotel location excellent not that far from center and other winter activities. Very spacious room The hotel front line staff are so kind and so helpful. The man escorted me to the room was so great in help and explain the hotel amenities. One distinguish feature of the hotel is the breakfast,. Family atmosphere with acceptable verity and quantity. The hotel is highly recommended for vacation time especially families. The nearby shooing also great and brands.
I've actually stayed her many times. 15-20 min walk to Red Square. Tverskaya St. is like main street., great places to eat, entertainment for kids and adults. I wouldn't recommend a winter trip here unless you are very familiar with the cold. Good hotel, her sister the Marriott Aurora just down the road is good as well (better I think).
"Charming Summer days in Moscow"
My daughter and I decided to visit Moscow in the August 2016. Moscow is busy place every time, especially in the Summer when people and children have vacations and many tourists coming to visit this city. So it was not easy to find comfortable and central hotel at that time We asked for two rooms but preferably two connected rooms- which was another challenge.. After checking some hotels in the Moscow center, I talked to person in the Marriott grand and got amazing service. Actually hotel persons called be back- to abroad!- and few times!- to discuss with me possible options for room and prices. After all we are booked two rooms and came to Hotel in the sunny pleasant day. Spending few minutes on reception we got our keys. Both connected rooms were clean, big and cozy- up to highest Marriott standard. Hotel is placed on Tverskaya street, about 15-20 minutes walking to the Kremlin. Two underground stations are very close to hotel.(Metro) On the next morning we has a breakfast in hotel. Many people said us before trip that this hotel possibly have a most reach and tasty breakfast among Moscow hotels and I intend to agree. It easier to say what they are have not on the tables then to list everything they have.Food was really fresh, tasty with many local dishes as well as with well know international ones. Hotel have a very nice SPA; pool is open 24 hours which is very nice option after long day in Moscow. We have used a room service once- and got very nice light dinner with quick service. Personal in hotel was very helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped with tea and coffee facilities; free bottle of water every day for every person was another nice touch. It was not too much things to ask from personnel, but every question was answered, any needed recommendation was provided, every demand was filled. One more important note- you can find a places to eat across the street and on the left or right sides of hotel -clean and nice places with good, not expensive food. There are few Marriott hotels in Moscow and I believe all of them keep high standard but I can recommend Marriott Grand as the place which is not disappoint you by room, place and service.
