"Home away from home with style"
Terrific hotel which maintains its classy service for 15 years. And trust me 15 years of consistent service and rusher is unbelievably long term high standard. Location of the hotel is terrific. It is located right on Tverskaya( Fifth Ave of Moscow) just 15 minutes walk from the Red Square. Great breakfast all sorts of Russian food and international food one can imagine and friendly receptionist and waiters. Spacious and cozy rooms . And you don't need to call reception to remind them that they need to bring you a bathrobe and a pair of slippers. It is all already there in your wardrobe. A number of good restaurants nearby. I recommend Nani - Georgian and Pushkin- Russian for authentic Moscow food experience. Afraid to get fat on travel' Do not worry.A full-scale gym is located in the basement with all machines and free weights that a good sportsman requires to stay fit while travel. Attentive trainers as well that will not let you get injured if you become overzealous in exercising. One tip; ask for the room facing the courtyard if you like to sleep in a quiet environment. Rooms facing the main street can be very noisy like they always are in the big metropolis with police sirens and 24/7 traffic passing by. And last but not least current dollar exchange rate allows you to stay in this hotel at below $160 per night. Unbelievable rate. In New York City for the same quality hotel I usually pay $300 plus. I stayed for 10 days and enjoy every single day of my stay. Hope you will too.
"First rate in all respects"
Centrally situated, warm and friendly. Very courteous staff and on hand to help at all times. Wonderfully comfortable bed - one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in. Full breakfast banquet array to suit all tastes and excellent standard of restaurant. The room was fully equipped, all toiletries you would ever need in the spacious bathroom. Above all else, after experiencing the glum and officious, not to say downright rude and offensive customs/border control at the Moscow DME, the welcome at the hotel could not have been warmer or friendlier. A very good hotel in all respects.
"I really addicted to this place!"
I love this place, though it's not new. It is very good located, very close from Belorusskaya station, where you get from aeroexpress. It's very cost and classic. They have s special Programm. For members they upgrade the room level. Sos is very nice . I love their generous breakfasts with champagne and strawberries!!!
The staff was fast and efficient. Could always find staff that spoke English . The Marriott was close to the subway, there we got a map from the desk and were told which subway stations were the best for photo's. there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast was very good, there was a chef to cook eggs. The selection was vast. The staff cleared the tables very quickly after someone had finished. The rooms were big and comfortable, the bathroom was big and had a bath. The a/c worked which was great.
"Incompetent or scam'"
On check-in I was told that breakfast was not included in my rate and would I like to pre-pay for breakfast. I duly handed over my credit card and sign the form only to be then told that actually the breakfast was included. However at breakfast on the 2nd day I was presented with a check to sign for my breakfast because it was not listed as being included. On check out they wanted to charge me for a bottle of Evian water I supposedly drank from the minibar. One mix up is excusable but 3 starts feeling like they are trying to rip you off. Hotel is OK, rooms are a bit dated although are quiet. Beds are laughably uncomfortable. Breakfast is good.
