I enjoyed my stay here. I loved that the club was open 24 hours for drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks. My room was nice, and bed was very comfortable. It seemed like there were lots of restaurants within walking distance, but I didn't get into any public transportation options.
"Truly impressed by Marriott Event for Rewards Members"
This Marriott Property really caught me off guard by happening upon an event I had no idea was taking place until I opened the concierge lounge door and there it was. It was a Marriott Rewards Members "Appreciation" event sponsored by the staff. The two Marriott staff people I met at this event were Geraldine "Geri" Richlin and Maxence Wiemer. I was caught off guard by the spread of food (Excellent choices on a wide variety of tasty selecions) specialty house cocktails, a drawing for a free night's stay and quality desserts. Now, I am at many Marriott concierge lounges that do their thing and the staff is nice but this was a party! I wound up chatting it up with a couple of really nice ladies, Kathy and Eve, who were attendees at the same event. Here's the thing, I appreciated this so much because, as I pointed out to Geri and Maxence, I never really saw this type of event before over the many years I've been to Marriott. I must be traveling in the wrong circles. Now that I've been to this event, I ask why not more of these at other Marriott's! It actually made me spend more money at this hotel at the lounge after the event ended. As far as hosts go, you could not have asked for two better than Geri and Maxence. These class acts were great. I can't say enough about them. Phenomenal conversationalists who finally made a rewards member feel "dare I say" special. Thanks for all that you did to reinforce a Platinum Premier Members waning faith in Marriott and reinvigorate why I stay here. I say this as I get concerned over the Starwood Purchase and the lack of focus on long standing members as you are now the behemoth in the hotelier industry. On a much minor note, get Steve at the front desk an upgraded personality. He did the "job" he was supposed to do but "Man, what a drag to meet him!" However, thanks for an awesome upgrade to the room you did give me Steve. I'm just saying take Maxence's lead on customer service. You'll go far. Thanks and let other Marriott's know about your appreciation event! Jeff Richards
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, Large rooms with great views. Excellent amenities-the Pantry for Platinum Elite guests is open 24 hours. Can't wait to stay again. Free shuttle to Time Square with easy access to other transportation
"Reliable hotel good amenities"
Stayed at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott in mid-February. I usually stay at the Marriott downtown, but it was all booked. Check-in was smooth and I requested a complimentary upgrade which they were able to provide. The front desk associate gave me a junior sweet with two double beds. Room was big, clean and spacious. Good water pressure and nice view. I went to the gym at about 5:30 and squeezed in a workout. Surprisingly it wasn't too busy at that time. Workout facility was nice with about 8 treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bicycles, weight machines and free weight Dumbbells. Good size gym for a hotel. Adjacent to the fitness room was a pool and hot tub. I hit the concierge lounge after that and it was pretty good. Food was mediocre/lousy like most Marriott lounges in USA, but it was large with plenty of space so you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of other people. Beer was cold so that's a plus! Bellmen were all good for hailing taxis and checkout was smooth the next morning. Overall a good experience and I would return to the Brooklyn Bridge if I'm back in the area.
