"Great hotel next to rail station and Palace of Culture"
This hotel is located right next to the main Warsaw rail station and the Palace of Culture, a gift from "Uncle" Joe Stalin to the people of Warsaw and a constant glowering reminder of their subjugation to their comrades in Moscow. With Poland now celebrating a quarter century of freedom the building has rightfully taken on a historical role and it was wonderful to find Marriott allocated us a room with a sweeping view of the Palace. If you're here for the history (other than the Palace of Culture) then you'll find the hotel itself isn't that central, it's quite the hike to the historical Old Town, but it's an atmospheric walk, and if you like shopping there's plenty of that en route. As for the Marriott itself, the rooms are large, beds very comfy and the on-site restaurant, Champions, though not in any way Polish, is a great way to feed teenagers who just don't find much adventure in the meatballs, sausages and dumplings of traditional Polish fare! Prices are very reasonable and the view from the rooftop bar are spectacular! A very good stay!
"Good location nice views"
Next to the palace of culture great location but long walk for old town rooms clean and spacious very much a five star hotel in every way check in check out efficient even gave us one room early only disappointment was attitude of staff at the 40th floor
"Good city view, but... Old hotel, NOT 5 STAR"
I stayed one night with my family in november 2016 in this hotel. It is located in a central area of the city. It is huge, you can have a perfect view from the level 31 Definetely is not A 5 STAR HOTEL. ROOM The rooms are regular, not to big, with very old furniture and sockets. The bathroom is old and has no personality (like in the german 4 stars hotels) RESTAURANT I visited with my kids the restaurant Champions...not something special...chicken wings not tasty, very fat pork ribs, good salmon...overpriced GENERAL It looks like a hotel during comunist times. Old, unpleasant...just the lobby is nice. NOT FREE WIFI IN THE ROOM!!! (typically american style hotel-you want wifi, you have to pay)
"Polish hospitality at the best !!!!"
This hotel it is city in the city !!!! You don't need to go out the door to find what you need , this place have all - restaurants , casino ,shops, spa, night club and etc. etc. !!!!! Rooms are clean and nice ,service it was great !!!!! Highly recommending !!!!
This was one of the best experiences I've had had at a hotel in a really long time. From the reception, to the housekeeping staff, everyone was simply awesome. It's evident that the staff really know how to treat customers. The views of the city are really amazing! I was fortunate enough to receive a upgrade to the 40th floor Bi-level suite. It was the perfect weekend get away. The bed was huge with lots of feather pillows that allowed me to sink into a bed of clouds while looking out into the Warsaw Skyline at night. The Hotel Spa was ok. Really nice pool, with 2 Jacuzzis to relax in. I ordered room service one night and the guy that brought it was really nice, I liked the overall vibe. The executive lounge had all my favorite drinks and the staff again was super friendly. A special thank you to the Manager on Duty Mrs. Idalia K. It's often said that the attitudes of workers reflects the leadership attitude. She was the most energetic and happy Hotel manager I have ever met! We really enjoyed talking to her and her positive energy. :) Thanks for the memories...until next time...
