Located virtually opposite the European parliament we were very happy with how easy it was to travel around the city from this hotel. The hotel is only 2 tube stops from Grand Place. The rooms were as expected for this hotel's star rating and the bar and lobby area were modern and clean. Breakfast was the highlight though... easily the best breakfast offering we have ever had on the continent! Bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, pastries of all varieties, cereals, juices, speciality teas and coffee, fruit... I could easily have missed something! A great way to start our weekend at the Christmas markets and sight seeing! Hotel bar closed early, but we only really used the hotel as a base and somewhere to rest our heads so was more than adequate. Finding out where the blue gorilla would be located each morning was also a novelty.
"Very nice hotel"
Very nice hotel, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located near the EU buildings and Schuman railway and metro stations. Clean and spacious room. I'll return on my next trip to Brussels.
"Very nice hotel in the EU quarter"
I've stayed in this hotel multiple times. The location is absolutely perfect if you are up for a meeting in the EU quarter - the street goes down right to the Berlaymont building of the Commission, 3 minutes walk max. There are many hotels on this street, but I definately prefer this one. It is very cosy, I like the decorations of the lobby area and breakfast room. The staff is polite and very helpful. The rooms have different size: from small rooms to larger ones with a jacuzzi. Beds are very comfortable and special thanks for big soft blankets. Bathrooms are new and clean. Breakfast is basic, but nice. Everything is fresh and tasty. If the weather is nice, you can take a seat in a lovely small garden. There is a beautiful park with a pond nearby, as well as some shops and restaurants. Try the Irish bar at the corner of the street right across the Berlaymont buinding - it's a bit noisy, but it has a very nice atmosphere and pretty good choice of meals, not only drinks.
"Hotel which is above expectations"
we stayed in the hotel for two nights and were pleasantly surprised by the level of service, comfort, and room itself. The first impression you get just entering the front door: very cozy, in dark colors and pleasant atmosphere and smell. Personnel is friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the 4th floor, with a nice view out of the window, but it's not that important because it is the room that takes your attention. Furnished cozy and stylish, (our variant) with king size bed, smart TV, mini bar with drinks and some snacks, jacuzzi bath tub. among the daily conveniences, there are a hair dryer, appliances for ironing, safe, mini fridge, bath gown, slippers and a standard set of shampoo, body lotion, shoe shine, sewing kit. there is also a closet with some 5-7 hangers (for me it is always important to have hangers). When we just entered the room they brought us a bottle of wine with snacks (was nicely unexpected). on the 7th floor, there is a free fitness room and sauna. Hotel restaurant and breakfast worth mentioning. in our case breakfast was included (but if not it is 19 euro per person) and was very diverse, fresh, on every taste.the restaurant is very cozy, elegant with friendly staff. (btw, if you order coffee they will serve you set of Belgian chocolates, which is awesome). the location of the hotel is very convenient, just in front of the European Commission building, 5 minutes from metro and very close to the center and from the most of the places of interest. there is parking place in front of the hotel and at weekend it is free. All in all, we are very glad that we have chosen this very hotel, if we ever in Belgium, will stay only there )) Have a nice time!
"Take your booking confirmation with you"
Hotel is quite OK, located perfectly for meetings in the EU district. It was my 5th or 6th visit, this time I stayed in Comfort room on the 4th floor. Room was clean and quite spacious, even for 2 persons. I had a view on the street next to the hotel. There was kettle and a tea , fridge, safe and wifi (quite OK). Bathroom was clean with nice amenities like shoe shine. Breakfast had wide selection of cold meals. As regards the hot meals there was only bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs, and sausages (awful). Be careful with mustard, which is very spicy. The only problem I had in this hotel was the booking system. During check-in I was informed that I had booked for 3 nights, while I had booked only for one night. Fortunately, after showing booking confirmation the problem was solved.
