"Mayfair Wedding Weekend"
Well located hotel with excellent staff and service. A few issues checking in at check-in time but otherwise a great experience. Restaurant put out quality food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bar and valet staff could use additional training but service issues were not for lack of effort. All staff always friendly and ready to help.
"Charming OLD hotel in a great neighborhood!"
The hotel is old but has updated bathrooms and it's very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable - restaurant was very good with excellent service - We were upgraded to a large suite with a Jacuzzi -plenty of room and a comfy bed; the a/c was a little weak - never got as cold as I usually like to keep it for sleeping (I overlooked that since this IS Miami, but it might be uncomfortable in the summer) Overall, a great hotel stay!
"Poor Customer Service"
Location is excellent. Value is ok. rooms are big and bathrooms are clean. Staff is ok. Front desk needs work. if you are going to have a 4pm check in, have it. If you cant do it, tell us before we get there and wait 1.5 hours for a room. Don't have me ask you 3 times If my room is ready. Communicate people. Tell us. whats gong on. Be honest Yes it was an inconvenience. I will live, but act like you care after I just dropped a ton at your hotel. You could have saved a customer for life with a stupid little food voucher for a sandwich, but you couldn't do it I was told . .
I surprised my boyfriend with an anniversary staycation at the Mayfair. It was only one night and I used the app Hotel Tonight to book it. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the balcony was fantastic. There is a tub on the balcony and they will fill it up for you for an extra charge. If we had stayed there one more night we definitely would have used it. It was a very romantic hotel. Next time we go we will grab a drink during happy hour and enjoy a nice fire pit by the pool. It's definitely worth staying at for more than one night. Although many complain this is an outdated hotel, I would have to argue that's what gives it its charm. Also I would argue that the rooms are very up to date and clean. Furthermore, this hotel is in the perfect location. We walked to a nice Italian restaurant Strada for dinner and walked to green street (a local favorite) for breakfast.
"Great Location "
We stay at the Mayfair during the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. The location is very convenient and restaurants and the festival are all within walking distance. The hotel is beautiful and has an open atrium. The roof top pool and bar is rocking especially during happy hour.
