"Stay in other cheaper hotels!"
The hotel Melia in Lima is old, it should be renovated, especially the bathrooms. There is nothing offered in the room (except 1 bottle water per stay) and the rooftop bar is only accessible to the premium rooms which is quite frustrating. The breakfast is fine, lots of fruits and different sweet and salty options (the only positive point). Find another hotel, this one is too expensive for the poor service, I would have expected a lot more in terms of quality, modernity and freebies.
"Best location "
Since 2011 I visit Lima and stay at the Meliá Is a pleasure, good location, safe for walkers like me easy to get any thing you need and their employees very good and friendly, very good breakfast buffet.
"Gem of a hotel in Lima@Peru"
We spent the pre-christmas to new year period at Peru and over the entire period had the opportunity to spend over 4 nights at Melia Lima. The most important quality within a hotel is the level of service and how the staff makes guests feel. At Melia, the staff were very courteous, friendly and accommodating and by the time we were ready to leave my two daughters felt they were leaving family. Be it the folks at the front desk (we remember all of their names), the transport crew, or folks at the breakfast -they have been taught well. The facilities are quite at par with some of the best hotels, as is the location in the San Isidro area, making it accessible to the airport , miraflores district for shopping and beaches and the city tours and malls all within 25 minutes - A must see if visiting Lima The only area of improvement was the dining options (or lack of it -with only one restaurant with a set cuisine). BUt with what Lima and the peruvian hospitality have to offer - it was not too much of an issue. But its worth looking into.
"Wonderful hotel and amazing restaurant"
Just remember to buy bottled water, and don't drink the tap water. Everything in the hotel was wonderful, and the staff were so friendly, kind and caring! They remembered my name and my room number in the restaurant, it was a very personal experience!
"Lovely hotel service can be improved "
I stayed at the Melia during the APEC 2016 CEO conference. They finally managed to get me a good room though that Took 3 tries. The rooms had poor air Conditioning. The service at the lounge upstairs on 7 floor was questionable. Also the servers did not want to serve a la carte to guests during their breakfast or other sessions. That showed lack of flexibility. Very centrally located and well situated for walking to nearby mall etc.
