"great location, very nice staff"
The staff here at the hotel are really good. They never seem to use the "no" word. We forgot to turn off the do not disturb sign and came back to the hotel at 6:00pm to find the room not made. Although clearly our mistake, they wanted to know if they can do the house cleaning now. I said, all we needed was fresh towels. They were delivered within 5 minutes. Location is awesome.
"I can warmly recommend this hotel"
Very professional and careful staff, really clean rooms featuring pleasant interiors, and rationalised room plans. Comfy bed indeed, with good pillows. The area is very convenient, many things at walking distance - westwards the very alive shopping area around Time Square, eastwards the docks with the observation wheel, the Maritime museum, the pier where you can get aboard the Star Ferry harbour tour, and the highest skykraper of Hong Kong. You get there by walking through the amazing architecture of the island. If you feel for the other side of the city, you just take the underground at Wan Chai or - if you do not want to change line - at Admiralty, then just get off at Tsim Cha Tsui, it takes just minutes. At the time of my visit the hotel was undergoing some renovation but they well compensated for the minor discomfort. No doubt this is an excellent hotel at a reasonable price.
"Two night visit"
This was a nice hotel, passing through to join cruise ship, hotel room was clean and big,you got a mob phone to use free of charge, you could phone international calls, free of charge, would have liked to stay longer, you need more nights to see more!! Staff very nice, and helpful.
"High priced zero star hostel which call themselves a 4 star hotel, extremely disappointing."
I am a regular visitor to Hong Kong and this is would be the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The lobby is small and dark, the lift is tiny, the corridor is narrow and there was a weird smell in the hallway. However this is just the beginning, the room itself was complete disgusting as part of the wall was yellowish, skirting were torn, furniture were ripped and dirty, we had to use the hotel towel to wipe off the inch thick dust and stain on the desk and chair. Though the worst part was the bath room, stains were everywhere from bath tub, basin, toilet to vanity. The whole room also had a disgusting smell, it was so bad you just wouldn’t want to touch anything while having shower. Overall, it is a zero star hostel and a far cry from a four star hotel, I would not recommend anyone to stay in this place.
The welcome on arrival was a little lukewarm with no information about restaurant or bar, and we spent about 5 minutes trying to get the lift to work as we weren't told that you needed to beep the key on to the panel before selecting your floor. It's great for security, but it would have been nice to have been told at check in. Room itself was an average size, beds ok, although a little firm. On our second night the water was running cold - and yellow - called down to reception and the manager came up soon after with an engineer. The problem was due to some building work being undertaken outside the hotel, but after running the water through for about 30 minutes, it ran clear, and finally hot! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Wanchai MTR, and about a 15-20 minute walk from the Ferry terminal, so that was great. Overall this was a good place to stay if you want to be out and about all day, but if you need rest or travelling on business, it's just average.
