"Beware of valet service "
We stayed over on Friday night and checked our car at valet service. We went to check out on Saturday morning around 8 am as we had a busy day scheduled. We called valet before 8 and requested our car be brought up. After waiting for nearly 45 minutes the valet manager informed us they had lost our electronic key. Thank God we just happened to have a spare but by the time we got out it was past 9:30 so we were going to miss our brunch in western mass. We requested our room be comped and was given the complete run around. First the manager was in Germany till Monday but when he returned he would call me on Monday. No call. I called on Tuesday and the hotel management was rude and unapologetic. I felt like I was on trial as he told me I left the hotel at 9:24 AM so I had plenty of time to get my location....which I didn't. He then said valet is separate from the hotel. Really'''' No one advised me. He then refused to give me the district managers name and hung up. After a struggle I did get room refunded and they finally found the keys. Poor way to treat repeat customer when error had nothing to do with me.
"Short Christmas break"
Stayed at this lovely hotel. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. It was very close to shopping and nightlife. The staff was also friendly. Free hot cider and coffee in the lobby. I would stay again.
"Location, Location, Location!"
The hotel is perfectly located to many downtown attractions as well as great food and drinking establishments. The room and staff we're second to none and the $20 lobster special the restaurant was running was to good to pass up. Will stay again next time we're in Boston!
We stay at the Bostonian every year around Thanksgiving and love it. This year, not so much. On a cold/rainy/snowy night after dinner in Boston there is nothing more fun than using the in room tv to find a movie that is still in the theaters or just recently released. Don't expect it here. We were told they had updated their system. Some update! You can sign up for a membership with Hulu or watch the 20 year old movies on Crackle. Boring, boring. Never again .
"near it all"
