"Expensive and Brown but Good"
Worth the extra for a fireplace if you plan to spend any time in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor was drab and brown. Very expensive but it seems all hotels in Boston are like that.
"A Nice Hotel"
This was a nice hotel, not exactly in the centre of the city but certainly not far from it. We were within walking distance of the Boston Common, and right across the road from the replica Cheers Bar.
"Great location and views of the city"
After some research, we choose this hotel for two main reasons, the location and the price. It is in the heart of the upper north end, just steps away from the Freedom trail, Quincy market and tons of shops and restaurants. The hotel is very nice, well maintained and updated. Some of the rooms have small balconies with planter boxes and there are also walk out balconies at random locations in the hotel. This gives the place a quaint feel, adds tons of charm and great views of the city. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. All finishes are up to date, travertine tile in the bathrooms and new furniture. Their restaurant is very nice as well, good menu and bar drinks. They provide valet service for 48.00 a night, its 37.00 a day across the street. More convenient to park the car here. I can't say enough about the location and comfort this hotel has to offer. Every staff member was friendly and helpful.
"Perfect spot...quaint hotel"
Loved the location, staff, and overall atmosphere of this hotel! This hotel is literally a stones throw away from all the "tourist" attractions! It's also very close to the "T" for those wanting to venture further out and away from Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall. Uber is also a great alternative to get around as well. Be sure to take one of the tours (Duck Tour) when you first arrive, this gives you a better idea of what to do and where to go during your stay. I will say this much, when checking in...be sure to find out the view from your room before heading up (if possible). We arrived and were placed on the 4th floor, our view was a brick wall. Yep..a panoramic view of a brick wall! So for an additional "upgrade" fee we were moved to the 7th floor...worth every penny. Overall, this hotel, although a bit pricey, is worth the stay!
"Best price and location in Boston!"
If you only have one night/day in Boston and need a great location to experience Boston, this is the hotel for you. Or maybe you will have more time, but stay at the Bostonian. From the minute you arrive, the staff will welcome you and assist in any way to get you settled. Valet service is the way to go. Well worth the. $10 extra to have them care for your car. The rest of your experience can be on foot ( most any way) or by public transportation to get you to all the Boston landmarks.
