Millenium Hotel Glasgow is located on George Square, in the commercial and cultural centre of the city, 20 minutes by car from Glasgow Airport.
The Millennium looks so nice from the outside and a wonderful location. Unfortunately that's were the compliments end. We were a group attending a Christmas party night. Not a pleasant experience and possibly the worst food I have tasted, the frozen roast potatoes and parsnips tasted of acrid fat. The cheesecake dessert and duck pate starter both looked as if it had been left out on a counter all day with dried up edges. I've come to expect average food during Christmas nights out but the food was inedible. The toilets available were dated and dirty or you could try the alternative toilets for which you need a code to enter, these too were dirty. I was glad I don't book a room. A shame as I was expecting so much more from a 4 star hotel. I shall not be returning.
stayed here with my wife to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary as it was a special occation we booked the executive room with city view and paid handsomely for it what we got was a view of the office block and their bins across the road as for the room tired and weary also not the cleanest staff at reception were very nice and pleasant but all in all should just have stuck with a premier inn
"Spacious rooms and good service"
We were impressed. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Glasgow. This hotel would be perfect for a shopping trip.
"Big mistake booking here."
This hotel is in DESPERATE need of a refurb. The room was the ugliest hotel room I think I've been in. That's apart from the first room I was given, which I promptly rejected. If I could have I would have left the millennium hotel and got something else (I did try). I booked well in advance and could have paid a lot less for a decent hotel in the area. The annoying think is, I thought I would up the budget and treat myself. What a joke! Ugly old stained carpets and upholstery, ugly worn out furniture. Shower head over bath with shower curtain sticking to you body as you attempt to shower in this tiny space. Room was really cold as the heating didn't work. No surprise there, the clue was a small fan heater in the bottom of the wardrobe. Can't imagine what foreign guest on their first trip to Scotland must think (Embarrassing). This is supposed to a 4star hotel' The only thing going for the hotel is the location and the staff who were all lovely. Spoiled my trip to Glasgow. Check out my photos.
"Tired and dirty"
Felt like student accommodation. Panels above bed are not properly closed and incredibly filthy inside. The kettle has seen better times. The bed is rolling away when you sit up. Would strongly advise against staying here.
