"Good food poor service"
I had dinner here with a friend. The service was poor and we had to asked for everything. The food was good and resnoable priced. They did eventually cater for my allergies.but I would not hurry back.
We stayed in this hotel last year. It is the worst 4star hotel I have ever been to. Arrived at 4-00pm to be told the room wasn't ready, when it was it wasn't up to much. It was very shabby, what made it worse was that we had recommended it to our friend from Australia. We stayed on the Club floor, where you are meant to get drinks and snacks from 5-00pm. We arrived at approx 5-15pm, it was closed, we had to ring down for it to be opened. It didn't get better then. Choice of drinks Red and White wine, beer, cider and soft drinks, nibbles bags of nuts and crisps. Dreadful! When we checked out they were not interested at all. In spite of filling out the online questionnaire there was no response.
"Great stay "
We have just spent a night at the millennium hotel Glasgow. .My wife and I took our 2 grandsons for a quick break. . The hotel is easy to find and in a very handy location. .5 minutes walk from the main shopping area in Glasgow. . Checkin was very quick and easy. . Very friendly and helpful staff. . I had a drink in the bar .while the boys went swimming. .very clean and pleasant pool . room was very nice but just a little on the small size for the 4 of us.. Breakfast was not bad and again helpful staff. All in all a very pleasant stay. . My only criticism would be that there is no where to park while you are checking in.. Unfortunately that cost me a parking ticket. ..
"Very tired...needs a make over"
Last minute city break, usual search engine and booked for price and location! Discounted parking at the near by NCP, about 5/10 minute walk with your cases...but in the rain feels much longer! When we arrived at the hotel its a lovely glass front and has good appeal. one of the lifts was out of service which cant be helped but there were a few people checking in at one so it made for a small que...including the house keeping with the trolley! the hotel temperature is unreal.....we hoped this would just be in the hall. when we got into the room, it was so hot we had to open the window immediately.....which made little difference really! Bed was a very small double and it was old, same as the rest of the room really!! This hotel has so much potential but needs some cash poured into it!! right now its tired and needs a serious make over. such a shame as the hotels location is amazing..... because of this i wouldnt stay here again.
"Worth a visit"
Have used the Millennium a number of times for afternoon teas with clients. The afternoon tea itself is lovely - loads of tea and coffee, delicious sandwiches and scrummy cakes. I always receive very good feedback from clients. The staff are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Well worth a visit.
