"Millennium - close to shopping"
I love Thailand very much and have been many times - this hotel lacked something. There is a beachside and a lakeside, don't be mislead the beachside is not near the beach. On arrival it wasn't the best, we arrived late and were tired and just wanted to be shown to our room, we were not given a welcome drink, cold towel nothing. My friend had booked through Luxury Escapes and it included a Deluxe Room but when we got there we were told that our room was a standard and would we like to upgrade to a deluxe room or a pool access room (of course for additional charge). When being shown the deluxe room my friend said hang on I have booked the Luxury Escapes deal it includes a deluxe room, the receptionist didn't bat an eyelid. she then showed us a room which she explained was the grand deluxe (at an extra charge of course). We accepted this room as it had a balcony overlooking the pool and was quite nice. This resort is attached to a shopping mall which is quite nice, close to markets, restaurants, massage and all of the action. A walk of a few blocks down to the beach, which if you like shopping is great along the way. The spa centre is good and the therapists were fantastic, rooms very nice. Breakfast was just average. Beware there is a bond which IS taken out of your account from day one and takes a few weeks to be put back into your account... I wouldn't stay here again...
"Lobby restaurant excellent"
I did not stay at this Hotel, but I went for lunch there. In the lobby restaurant fantastic nice food Chicken coconut soup Tom Kha Kai delicious Main Thai fried noodles in a roll fantastic Very friendly staff Bernie's World Wide Travel Experience.
"2nd stay here. Still can't beat the location."
This was my second stay here and I specifically booked due to the proximity to the mall. I was offered an upgrade offer for the Cabana room which I took up. Overall, the room was excellent with it's own deck, Jacuzzi and access to the pool. Location as I already highlighted is excellent with hotel access to Jungceylon. It is also within walking distance to Bangla road and the wet market (I cannot recall the name). Breakfast at the hotel was included and it was fairly crowded but acceptable. One thing to take note though is that there are 2 wings so you should check before arriving so your cab knows where to drop you of.
" Good location and hotel but not a resort no 5 star no 4 star!!!!"
The room was average, breakfast was not good for muslim or other nation not too much choise, location was vary good, lobby had a door in jungceylon, good wifi, the room was not clean i think it should be 4 star hotel not 5star at all!!!!! Photos are not reall
"Good Hotel - Good location"
I bought a Luxury escape package and on arrival was checked into a room on the 2nd floor overlooking a carpark, smelling of smoke. Upon complaining I was moved to a room on the 6th floor still overlooking a carpark. It was explained that the package I purchased was for this room type (I did upgrade my package with Luxury Escapes- expecting better). The staff at check in were very understanding and explained I could move to a Superior Deluxe Room the next day for an extra charge - this I did and was then extremely happy with my room on the 6th floor(30 steps away) but overlooking the pool with a nice balcony. This changed the whole vibe of the place for me!!! I found all the staff very welcoming and helpful - Reception, Restaurant and Pool staff - no complaints at all. My recommendation would be to book nothing less than a Superior Deluxe Room or expect to be disappointed. It was a short walk to Bangla Road and surrounded by restaurants. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Millenium Hotel.
