"couldn't fault it - would definitley return"
5 night holiday stay with spouse. From check in to check out, impeccable service, friendly and well informed staff, the Madinat complex that the Hotel is part of had loads to do, and out view from X003 was to die for, looking over the ocean from The Atlantis on the Palm to the Burj Al Arab, one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Already want to return!
We booked a brunch here on a Friday. What an amazing setting! We sat at the outside table, under a hut type thing, at the water. The most beautiful afternoon. The food/drink choice was vast! There were lots of vegan/vegetarian options and i really could not have tried everything. I also never had an empty glass; staff were great, and well trained. I liked the little food carts they had dotted around, made it feel like a market type scenario. Great day, and great photo opportunities! We also got the boat taxi from another hotel to here - which was the cherry on top. Really a memorable experience. Totally recommended!!
"Fantastic family holiday"
Just back from a week at the Mina A Salam. Great food, great location, great facilities and he staff were very friendly. The kids pool at the Al Qasr hotel was a high light as was the afternoon tea. Kids under 3 eat for free and the staff were great with my sometimes fussy requests for my little one.
"Excellent beachfront resort"
We've twice stayed at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, really liked the resort, and this time decided to try one of the hotels at Madinat Jumeirah. While both Mina A'Salam and Jumeirah Beach Hotel are fantastic hotels, I would say that MAS is a bit of a step up in terms of quality. However, for families, JBH could be the preferred option for convenience (family pool, kids club, gym, Wild Wadi etc are all a few short steps from each other). At MAS, you need to rely on buggies and abras to get you about the resort. Sometimes, even in really quiet times, it can be a frustratingly long wait for a buggy. The coordination of the buggies could really be improved. At times it was farcical watching buggy after buggy (sometimes 5+) drive past empty in the wrong direction and refuse to turn around and take you. The abras, however, work very well. We spent most days poolside at Al Qasr, for the convenience of being near the kids club. For mass produced and pre-prepared food, it's delicious and never a long wait. The poolside waiters are generally all excellent, however some insist on having you sign for each order immediately, rather than allowing you to run a tab throughout the day, which would be much easier. We ate at several of the restaurants in Souk Madinat and while expensive, we didn't have a bad meal. Free access to both Wild Wadi and Talise Fitness (an excellent gym with an indoor 25m lap pool, large range of weights and cardio equipment and a variety of studio classes: spin, pump etc) makes Madinat Jumeirah the best resort in Dubai. They have the largest beach in Dubai, a variety of pools and activities. The resort is an excellent choice for families, couples (young and old) and groups of friends. One thing to note though, is that it's very large, so it's not feasible to have the same standard of food, drink and service that you'd receive in a much smaller (50 room or less) hotel.
