We stayed in a Mirasol hotel while visiting Rio. Hotel is clean, breakfast is good, location perfect, one block behind Copacabana Palace with lots of stores around and bars. 200m to Copa beach. Near metro. Good price for good value. Would recommend. Max working on the reception is THE man! He is very polite, friendly and helpfull. Thanks!!
"Excellent location. Worth a try!"
We were upgraded for a top floor room, with a bathtub and side views of the beach, were stayed three adults and a 2 year-old toddler with all comfort you could imagine. Going up one set of stairs, we reached this beautiful swimming pool with stunning views of Copacabana Beach, some gym equipment and a sauna. The Hotel is located two blocks from the beach, right behind the iconic Copacabana Palace, so you can walk around and explore this touristic part of Rio de Janeiro. Very nice breakfast included with assorted cold and hot food. Helpful staff too, especially at reception. The only thing I didnt like was having to pay for parking our car. :-(
Lovely friendly staff, perfect location, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed ,great little pool, fantastic view from the rooftop pool area. we had a bad window view looking at a wall and into other apt block , and had hotels main aircon or something outside our window so it was slightly annoying. however we wern;t there to sit in the room looking out! thin wall from our shower to the next rooms shower so we could hear a people going to the bathroom. bedroom was around a 2.5 star standard. I would recommend this hotel because of location, and the other positive stuff stated.
"12 days during paralympics"
I stayed in mirasol for 12 nights . Let me say this hotel has a lot of potential to be better first of all let me list the positive sides,1. The location is great just two blocks from the beach , another two blocks to metro stations in the middle of very busy yet quite street lots of shops and very nice walks 2. The staff especially the reception staff are great very good English which is something very uncommon in Rio . They are very helpful in a nice way they go the extra mile from advise to help to make your stay perfect. Also the Bell men are really warm and helpful The development areas are ; 1. Cleanliness they should work on this more as we had a lot of insects and bugs in the room plus sheets were not changed everyday 2. Air conditions are window unit so it is extremely noisy all the time 3. Make sure u book spacious rooms on top floors as the ones in the lower floors are tiny with absolutely no view
"Amazing staff (marx)"
I was not even staying at the hotel but needed some urgent help on a matter. Desperate, I approached the front desk person at the hotel, marx (sp'). He was so friendly, calmed me down and helped with my issue. I can only imagine how they would take care of actual guests.
