"Well done with great views"
A well located and mostly well executed Mondrian property that with a few tweaks could be taken to the next level. The service in my stays has been on-point, especially the concierge (who are great at all Mondrian's I've stayed in). Room design excels in the regular rooms, while not practical on all levels it is certainly not cookie cutter. The TV in the mirror situation is indeed a cool little trick although reception on some of the channels really needs to be improved. Even things like NBC looks grainy and not HD. The balcony's are awesome with defining views. In fact, views all around are fantastic and frankly there are reason enough to stay here. If you can grab a balcony do it. The pool area is always lovely and is one of my favorite aspects of the hotel, although they need to find a way to open it at night. What is the point of a pool in the Skybar if it isn't going be open at night' That would take the Skybar to another level and be a benefit for the hotel overall. Skybay though is still a pretty sexy place to be on the weekends. To the main issue, the last room I stayed in was a suite and in that room I was disappointed. The room's spacing is not done well and it's basically a big room with a bed on one end and a couch on another. Other than some extra floor space nothing about it really makes it a suite. That setup works in the regular rooms but not there. I would spend some time redesigning the layout of the suites, wouldn't take long but would make a big difference. Overall, despite these small issues The Mondrian is a great hotel and a fine choice in West Hollywood.
Best concierge Jason that was very helpfull. Very nice view from our room that was fantastic. Didn´t like the high valet parking for 44$/night and no free wifi. Very modern room but to expensive for me but was worth the stay to see what you get one time.
"THEFT!! STAY AWAY"
I bought my family, a party of 6 guests for 8 nights stay in your LA hotel, our experience was far from satisfactory 1. CASH STOLEN FROM THE ROOM, STAFF WERE NOT HELPFUL, MANAGER PRACTICALLY ACCUSED US OF FABRICATING THE THEFT. we had a modest sum of £200 english pounds which to add injury to insult was my husbands b'day gift from family before we set off on holiday. This money was in a handbag not kept in the safe, so we didnt expect much could be done, but at the bear minimum needed to report it. The front desk manager was incompetent rude and dismissive. We filed a security report and were told they have not had this issue before, after 2 minutes looking at reviews several people have reported thefts!! The manager went on to say that these reports were likely all FROM PEOPLE WITH NOTHING BETTER TO DO, AND WERE FALSE, even though the a manager had issued a response to each of the on tripadvisor!!!! 2. Poor sleep as very loud parties every night in the pool area 3. Pool area can not be used by hotel guests as over run by locals and the size of the pool could be more adequately described as a childs plunge pool 4. valet parking a joke at $44 daily! I would strongly recommend stay away !
I was expecting a very cool hotel and room, and was not disappointed. Excellent staff, my car was well looked after in valet and the surrounding area is full of things to do for tourists. We had a studio room overlooking the pool and Sky Bar, which I do recommend
"Really nice hotel"
Nice hotel with really good rooms, high standard! Driving distance to shopping, restaurants etc. really nice people working here! I had a very good stay. The sky bar at the hotel is also a very popular hangout place! The rooms facing the poolside could get a bit noisy due to the poolside bar, so if you want a quiet room I recommend to book a room facing the other way!
