We really enjoyed our stay at the Mondrian. It has a great location on Sunset and is quite a quirky hotel. This was great as we were only in LA for a few days and so there were quite a few things to do within walking distance compared to other areas. We were heading to The Nice Guy one night and this was about a half hour walk which was fine. The next night we walked along Sunset to Whiskey-a-go-go only a ten min walk. We booked a room with a balcony which I would recommend with a view of the pool and LA. Not the most amazing view in the world but I guess that is just LA....The staff seemed very friendly. The only thing that really bugged me about this hotel is that the curtain in reception looked quite tatty and this is not great as your first impression of the hotel. Fresh flowers rather than fake would also be a simple but effective change. Don't touch the snacks in the room- extortionate prices and it is not totally obvious they are not free (as if they would be though). The pool had a great chilled atmosphere and headed there ( Skybar) for a drink one evening. Great Sauvignon Blanc. Fairly pricey but fine. Would probably look at a better value hotel next time but we enjoyed our stay.
"A H M A Z I N G"
The best 6 days stay for a work trip. And we how that usually can go. First day on Monday nov. 14th, when I arrived around 3:30-4:00 pm, my room wasn't ready with final inspections, so they gave me a voucher for drinks at the sky bar. Please DO make sure that happens every time I checki in ;). But since I wasn't familiar with the place, I ended up at the Ivory on sunset bar. The super friendly staff was what I just needed after a longggg day. The bartender Z, sorry not sure about the spelling, was SUOER nice. Welcoming, friendly and professional. He did set the tone for my week. Thank you for that. So was the rest of the giggly staff. They were so nice that my "2 drinks voucher" went beyond the 2 drinks. Same night, on Monday, I ended up at the skybar for quick drink after dinner, with a friend, and that was another awesome experience. Needless to say the rest of the stay was just as friendly and comfortable. What I like about this place is, the staff is not constipated with hello ma'am and good day sir. However they are super professional. Although that's realy nice, but sometimes you just want to let your hair down and feel at home like you are visiting your friends. I do walk in to many stuffy places and sometimes it's just too much. Rooms were spacious, spotless and clean. service was implacable and the staff, what ever they were responsible for, from keeping your room in shape to managing the awesome staff, or valet your car, was on point. Highly raccomando it. Will stay there def. on my next trip.
We stayed on Thanksgiving weekend and couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The staff and hotel are both wonderful. The location and amenities were top notch. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Hollywood area!!!
"Lovely hotel, suites are gorgeous"
I very much enjoyed my recent stay at the Mondrian. Whilst staff were not especially helpful, they were friendly enough. Our one bedroom suite was just gorgeous - very light and comfortable and with an incredible view of downtown LA. The pool bar is just great and I love the West Hollywood location, although it may be a little grungy for some. All in all a great stay.
"The Best Hotel Boutique in LA"
A really guy staff working for you 24 hours . Nearest of the interesting places in LA. A nice pool and a very kind team working there. When I visit again LA I will stay again in the Mondrian. The drinks in the bar and the restaurant was so good.
