"Great facilities, but perhaps a bit dated"
We came on a family ski trip and I am still trying to figure out how I feel about the Mont Cervin Palace. In terms of facilities, it is amazing: the pool is great, the ski hire shop is awesome and the ski/boot room is simply world class. And the service was spectacular as well. We stayed in an Alpine Room in the Le Petit Cervin and, it too, was fantastic (although the corridors look a bit tatty). However, the main hotel, the restaurants, the bar etc are all looking a bit dated and not befitting a hotel of this reputation. It's a grand dame of hotels, and I don't necessarily mean that in a nice way. The kind of thing my grandmother would have loved. The Seiler Group 'dine-around' option was brilliant, though, and therein lies my dilemma. On paper, it works oh so very well. It just lacked a certain je ne sais quoi.
Old school luxury with a sense of extraordinary service. This hotel has it all. The best location, contemporary rooms, good food options, a great spa, pools and all the comforts you can ask for. The staff is amazing; nothing is too much and all is done with a smile. First choice for Zermatt!!!
"The best for in town"
Grand luxury. Swiss precision and cleanliness in everything. The ski room is amazing as is the service. The pool and spa areas are perfect. The pool is half inside and half outside despite the location of the hotel which is smack in the centre of town. The restaurant and grill are in line with the high standards of the hotel . The cellar is of top quality with a great choice of excellent wines and includes also some top of the line bottles. Expensive but worth every penny. Ask to be picked up by the stage coach at the station.
"Ski Paradise "
Excellent hotel in the heart of Zermatt! Arrived late on Saturday and picked up by free hotel transfer service! Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Booked two adjoining Alpine Classic Suites for a family of 5, lots of room, with separate living and sleeping areas. Beds and pillows wonderful. Received fresh fruit and chocolate on arriving with two bottles of water. Breakfast is ample and staff serving you very friendly. Breakfast served from 07h30 to 10h30. Concierge service must be used as they go out of their way and have many wonderful tips! They will make all your dinner reservations if you ask! Basically will arrange anything you ask. We were surprised by being in Zermatt in the opening week of Zermatt Unplugged, now in its 10th year and recommend anyone to attend the "Village" even if just for the atmosphere! Back to the hotel! Although a five star establishment they are more than prepared for a skiing holiday. The ski room is well thought out and works like a charm, right next to a ski shop where you can hire EVERYTHING you require. The lockers have dryers built in and makes preparing for your day out on the slopes a charm. The hotel has an excellent pool and spa area! Do not neglect to use! Play area with table tennis, pool table and foozball is situated right next to the indoor pool. I will recommend Mont Cervin Palace to anyone and everyone! A really unforgettable stay! I have another 3 nights here and will be sad to leave!
"One of a kind Palace"
Our stay at Mont Cervin Palace was lovely. The sight of the hotel's horse drawn carriage dashing through the streets is reminiscent of something from the past. It is generally available before 5pm for guests arriving from the train station with luggage and from 11pm for checkouts. They also have shuttles to bring guests to and from the station. We look forward to bringing the kids on our next visit, as the Palace has an impressive childrens room and swimming pool for kids.
