We were a little disappointed by the size of our room and how dark it was. On the plus side the room was clean and Staff were friendly. The continental breakfast also had a good choice. Great location for many of the attractions and shopping.
"Nice, central location"
Nice hotel in midtown location, rooms good-sized for Manhattan, helpful front desk staff, OK continental breakfast. Bathroom pedestal sink a bit cramped but spacious shower. One odd thing is I never did find an exterior sign for this hotel. Read the minibar price list carefully, as always, before using.
Stayed at Morgans New York Hotel for 3 nights recently and what can I say-it was a lovely boutique hotel. When we arrived, we were shown to our room which was fine. However, it was an inside room with no window and so without any request from us, we were moved to a more comfortable room on a higher floor with good views.Continental breakfast is served in the bar area and is good with a variety of fresh foods. The hotel is well placed for sightseeing and is very close to The Empire State Building. Staff are helpful and professional. We would definitely return-thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
"Brilliant stay, excellent location"
We were really impressed with this hotel. The room was clean, had everything we needed and was spacious enough for our short stay. I think we got lucky on the view too as we had a high floor room and could see the Empire State building from our window which made it a bit more special. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lady in the bar was lovely and we enjoyed chatting to her. Breakfast was good, continental breakfast that had everything you need. The lounge/bar area is really nice. They had takeaway cups for coffee too which was a nice touch. The only cons were the lifts are so dark you can't see the buttons. Also we had no water one night from 10pm - 5am due to plumbing works, we were informed of the maintenance work well in advance which was fine. However, it would have been good to be given some complimentary water overnight. If (when) I go back to New York I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect. It was my first time visiting New York and the hotel was the perfect base for exploring.
"An adequate hotel, but not exciting"
I cannot say there was anything particularly wrong with the stay, but if I have to stay again around the Bryant Park/Grand Central, I will probably shop around a bit. We got a pretty good deal for the room, considering it was Christmas, and quite close to many attractions, and had a breakfast included. Malin+Goetz amenities of rather generous size were provided in the bathroom. The front desk was kind enough to change the room with a shower for a room with a bath tub. Yet, the rooms felt very dark, and not particularly well thought through for their (small) size, and the sink in the bathroom was just a killer of any morning cheer. Not too many places to eat around that you can write home about neither. All in all, it was an okay stay, if only a bit lacklustre.
